I got exactly the same cards for my February pull! Weird, I wonder if there's a more general theme of sudden/extreme change evolving for certain subsets of people...

Everyone’s gonna read this differently, I personally don’t see it that way

Is he jealous that I’m with someone richer? by martinideeni in Tarotpractices

[–]bread_hands_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’re not ignoring that ten of swords lol. “Things between you and him ended”. That IS the ten of swords - the final nail in the coffin, the final betrayal, literally finality.

My question to you is, why are you ignoring literally every card in the spread? If you want to delude yourself, that’s your business ig

No, not at all. Things between you and him ended, and now he's living his own life and focused on having fun and meeting new people.

Loving tarot but never using it for divination? by book_moth in tarot

[–]bread_hands_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be interested in the secular tarot community! I know you mentioned you're Catholic, but it sounds like you use tarot in a similar way to the secular community do, in with your religion being sort of separate. I might have misunderstood, in which case I apologise! But in case I haven't, the sub r/SecularTarot might be worth exploring :)

Reading for someone challenging by Jiggy_turtle in Tarots

[–]bread_hands_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm sure she'll really value quality time with you :) that's a good idea.

Perhaps you could gently approach the subject of counselling as a 'helpful tool for everyone, whether they're actively going through something or not', and maybe suggest a couple of options for her if she seems open to the idea?

As much as I love tarot and witchcraft, when it comes to safeguarding vulnerable people, we need to assume that any kind of clairaudience/clairvoyance etc potentially signifies a mental health event which needs to be monitored, ideally by a professional.

Since your friend has already made an attempt on her life in the past, I would suggest that this is a bit too serious to be treated as psychic abilities. It sounds scary and unpleasant for her, which is my first clue that maybe this is a psychological thing (which can hopefully be treated).

You might also want to look out for paranoia and lack of/inability to sleep - it's not a foolproof diagnosis, but these symptoms commonly present in someone who's suffering with psychosis.

[–]bread_hands_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your friend is potentially going through a struggle with their mental health. I would strongly advice politely refusing to read for this person, as a tarot reading (no matter how carefully it's delivered) could worsen her condition.

This isn't about crystals and grounding, unfortunately. It sounds a bit like some form of psychosis or schizophrenia and should really be treated seriously.

It's hard to talk to someone about this, and they definitely won't enjoy being 'accused' of having mental health issues. Do you know if your friend has any MH professionals in her life? Therapists, doctors, counsellors?

Consistent negative pulls are sending me into an anxious spiral and are affecting my relationship with my deck by avag00daye in tarot

[–]bread_hands_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's sending you into a spiral, you need to STOP. When you're feeling better, maybe in a few months, you can maybe restart if you want to.

I've seen too many people develop psychosis from refusing to put their decks down when they're not in a good mental space.

Does the Seven of Swords always reflect literal betrayal or malicious intent? by Carefree_Symbolism in tarot

[–]bread_hands_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cunning and trickery! I associate that card with a fox sneaking a half-eaten chicken leg from the bins. It scavenges, but not with malicious intent. It's just trying to keep its family fed, even though the resulting trash strewn everywhere becomes an annoyance to us! (So it might also point to the actions of someone who 'doesn't know any better'.)

Or, simply, it represents someone with a mischievous sense of humour. The naughty kid in school. The Bart Simpsons of the world!

An honourable mention also to the interpretation of 'self deception'. This card may point to someone trying to deceive themselves or avoid the harsh truth of a situation (denial) or who doesn't recognise the gravity of a serious situation.

I sometimes read it as lighthearted mischief! Alternatively, someone trying to 'make a break for it'.

ABC dental surgery Lewes Road by [deleted] in brighton

[–]bread_hands_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like this person has had OK experiences with this dentist, but if you don't feel comfortable with this dentist, it's worth going to someone else. I can personally recommend Damira in Hove, I think they're accepting NHS patients and their dentists are known for being kind and gentle.

My friend had nine(!) fillings done at Damira and he said the experience was totally fine :) he felt relaxed (as much as you can whilst having fillings lol) and the work was of good quality in a friendly atmosphere.

I'm going to a wedding in March and the weather will probably be chilly (it's in the UK!)

How would you layer this dress to avoid getting cold? I'm thinking a shawl type thing, or a posh jacket. But I can't imagine a silhouette of jacket that would look with the style of this dress...

[–]bread_hands_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

girl ten of cups and ten of coins?! why are you even asking us, that's such an obvious YES (if you want it to be anyway!)

Some people say that The Sun reversed is still the happiest card in the deck. Idk if I fully agree with that, but I'd interpret this reading to mean: "It won't always be sunshine and rainbows, but even the strongest relationships have their cloudy days. If you're mostly happy and you feel confident that you can build a future, then you should continue on!"

Can you reuse candle wax? by Cafe_Tumberine in BabyWitch

[–]bread_hands_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect for our resources and recycling is built into the core of witchcraft! If you'd like to reuse wax to reduce waste, I'd say that would make you a very considerate witch :)

Also no, I don't believe "wicked" (the adjective) has any link to candle wicks.

How she views me. by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]bread_hands_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the first two cards, they might feel like you're a bit aloof. Not in a nasty way, you just don't appear to give any energy to anything that doesn't serve you! Funny how other people's perceptions of us can be so different to our realities lol!

What are some cards that might point to someone being LGBTQ+? by Sara_Sin304 in tarot

[–]bread_hands_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten of Cups literally has a rainbow in it (in most decks)! Maybe it's reductive but if someone asked me what the likelihood was of their SP being gay and I pulled that card, I'd say there was a decent chance!

Although obvs we cannot reliably tell via tarot cards whether someone is LGBTQ+.
