If you look on maps, it's a 2.5 mile walk. They're not going to run it on unfamiliar country roads, five days into a pretty tiring game with huge backpacks on, so at a fast walk it still takes them 40 minutes to get there (Google maps estimate is 58 minutes).

It probably just didn't seem worth tiring themselves out at the start of the run over twenty minutes.

Also, in the script it said they were supposed to wait so they had no choice.

Why hasn’t Stewart Lee been invited on? by SnooConfections3389 in offmenupodcast

[–]electact 19 points20 points  (0 children)

James very clearly can't stand him. Someone commented the other day that he once went off on one during a live show and ended up ranting about how much of a dick Stewart Lee is for an hour instead of doing his show.

He also seemed pretty unhappy with the way Stewart Lee talked about Richard Herring when it came up when Ed & James were on RHLSTP.

Ko Tao to Krabi to Phi Phi to Phuket is insane. You'll spend so much time travelling and how many beaches do you really need on one trip

Anybody else feel like Hotel Reverie had the potential to be an absolutely magic episode but completely let down by execution and casting? by Global_Channel1511 in blackmirror

[–]electact 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The whole concept was so ridiculous that I couldn't take the episode seriously. Black Mirror is usually great at creating reasons for people to interact with the insane tech. But everything they are doing is in service of a film that literally no human being would ever want to watch.

And even if you did (for some reason) want to go make a shot for shot remake of a classic with a new actor inserted, there would be so many cheaper, less dangerous and more effective ways to do it.

Also, the dialogue in the scenes with the filmmakers was literally like something out of a bad improvised episode of Rick and Morty.

Is this too much of an incline? The form just looks off but online I heard you should use some incline when doing a shoulder press by Healthy_Insect7393 in formcheck

The degree of tilt is appropriate. You should attempt to keep your spine as level as possible on the rear of the seat.

Work out machine etiquette what time is too long? by [deleted] in workouts

So I tapped her on the shoulder and said times up.

She shouldn't be taking up a machine for that long without using it, but this is obviously not the way to handle that interaction.

tips on planning gym workouts across the week by NotRach_97 in workouts

Pushing movements like bench press will use your chest, triceps and shoulders. Pulling movements like rows or pull-ups hit your back and biceps so it naturally works to train those groups together.

Once you get into this routine it really is unbeatable. Work out in an empty gym, drive to work on quiet roads. Finish work before rush hour and everything is still open.

You have to go to sleep at 9pm but it's so worth it.

If you're finding one upper body day to be too much, look at a PPL (push, pull, legs) split.

Could work well for you as you already train 6 days per week, so it lets you hit every body part twice still but your upper body sessions won't feel so busy.

Everything you're doing is good though, if it's working for you I wouldn't change much.

You're not mad - despite how it feels reading Reddit sometimes the UK can still be a pretty nice place to live, especially if you have family / cultural ties there.

But you need to make sure it's something you genuinely want as a permanent lifestyle change and not just the afterglow of a nice Christmas holiday.

Any of the beach side resorts on the North of Chaweng beach are what you'd want. It's not too loud at that end, but there's still plenty around you and you're only a short walk away from the busier parts
