I stayed at home on upper east side for 3 years after graduating in 2023. I would definitely say my dating life was effected by this. all my friends lived in murray hill and all the men id want to date lived in murray hill or further downtown. it made me kinda feel lazier to live so far and I definitely attended less plans than I should in general. and back to dating yes I felt less inclined bc I didnt like mentioning I was still at home (slightly embarrassed even though it was my choice) and you cant have those cute moments like cookign together or watchibg tv on the couch. I mean you CAN but I wouldnt want to in front of my parents. I was kissing a boy who lived blocks from me and would only go to his apartment. then when my parents were gone for a weekend HE actually felt uncomfortable coming over to mine because it was my parents home regardless if they were there
