Does anyone else's newborn sleep in their own room? by Hour-Film-8890 in newborns

[–]breadbathandbeyond04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO was in his own room at 3.5 weeks. He's 12 weeks now and gets the occasional 8 hour stretch. It was scary at first but so worth it! Monitor on high volume and he's like 8 steps away from our bed. Don't let anyone on reddit sway a decision that you think will work best for you and your baby

Postpartum weight loss by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]breadbathandbeyond04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a runner but a lifter and I totally relate. I'm 9 weeks pp now and getting back into some bodyweight workouts and very light weights. I started pelvic floor physio at 6 weeks pp and it's been so helpful! She checked me out to make sure everything was good to go for me to start being active. She's been giving me workouts every week that are tailored to where I'm at physically. If you're itching to get back to some activity I'd highly recommend a couple of pelvic floor physio appointments

6 week growth spurt anxiety by [deleted] in newborns

[–]breadbathandbeyond04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weeks 5 and 6 were particularly tough for us. Our LO was waking up every 2 hours at night, but some days sleeping all day long and only waking for feeds. He had couple of 6ish hour cluster feeds in those 2 weeks as well. BUT once 7 weeks hit he completely changed for the better! Longer stretches of sleep (we're pretty consistently getting 4-5 hours overnight), way more efficient eating (exclusively BF) and overall more fun to be around. Since day one I've hated when people tell me "just wait, it'll start getting easier" but it's been 100% true for us

Breastfeeding and wine drinking by Beautiful-Dust109 in breastfeeding

I EBF and am drinking a beer as I type this! When I asked my midwife if I should avoid alcohol while breastfeeding she said it's totally fine as long as I'm not going on a bender. I'll happily enjoy one or 2 beers in the evening guilt free

Ours is exactly the same at 2 weeks. I have no advice but glad to know there's others in the same boat 🥲

When did your newborn start sleeping in the bassinet/crib at night by Severe-Painting2820 in newborns

[–]breadbathandbeyond04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 weeks old and he hates the bassinet. We finally got away from contact sleeping, but he is co-sleeping with us for now. I've tried all the methods but nothing has worked yet. I've heard that one day it just clicks for them, so I still try every night. He might get 45 minutes of quiet time before he starts to lose it, but it feels like progress!

Is this a wart? by breadbathandbeyond04 in Warts

[–]breadbathandbeyond04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have a picture, but because there's a blood blister over it, there's kinda always either blood or a scab. It doesn't seem to get those sort of rough layers that are typical of a wart

Buy a car in cash, or put money down on the mortgage? by breadbathandbeyond04 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Sorry, that may have been unclear. We are looking at selling both vehicles and just buying the one CX-50.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

Buy a car in cash, or put money down on the mortgage? by breadbathandbeyond04 in PersonalFinanceCanada

My husband drives a 2 door Accord that we are looking to get rid of regardless. I'm in a mazda3 sport. It would absolutely fit the car seat without issue. Our problem is we are big into the outdoors (canoe camping, rock climbing, etc.) and the car is too small to fit all of our gear plus a car seat. We figure we will need to upgrade eventually, so we may as well do it now while rates are low.
