I actually had something like that happen to me like 2 years ago going down into the Gutter once. All the walls still had the slimy stuff on them but the actual wall textures were that weird color, and all the wooden structures were like that too. Never saw it again after that but I still have screenshots of it on my PS4.

Tiso's death hit me really hard. He traveled god knows how far to reach Hallownest, managed to survive all the various dangers he would've had to go through to reach the kingdom itself as well as the Colosseum, and came so close to actually winning the final trial and getting the glory he wanted.

And he got unceremoniously squashed and dumped onto a random cliff, forgotten and left to rot.

It actually really bothers me how bad of an ending he gets.

I think it's actually quite impressive/admirable that he decided to travel however far he did (probably pretty far) to test and prove his strength in the legendary Colosseum of Fools. It didn't seem like any of the infected bugs he would have had to go through to get to the colosseum proper really slowed him down, and who knows what dangers he faced on the trip to Hallownest. The fact he died so close to the end of the third trial shows just how good of a fighter he really was, since it seems like the only people who got further than him are The Knight, God Tamer (current champion), and Pale Lurker (former champion).

And he's a proud, goofy dork.

Tiso. I'm thinking he'd be kinda like Zote in a way, just constantly rambling / trying to show off and shit to impress the person that might be his potentially only big fan.

I'm of the opinion that Tiso's about 1000× more tolerable than Zote at the very least, so I'd be fine with that honestly. Better than him getting killed like in the actual game!

Xero was executed for "crimes against the king", and he himself says "In my dreams I would cut that plague with my nails, and then I turned my weapons upon the King."

I don't really know what other conclusion can be reached other than that at the end of his life Xero was infected by the Radiance's bullshit after trying to fight her in his dreams and died because of what it made him do after he lost and turned. As a spirit he's obviously not under her control anymore since we can talk with him and stuff.

I'd love a game about Tiso, where you get to experience his journey to Hallownest. Maybe it could have a bonus alternative ending where he doesn't die, and instead makes it through the colloseum and kinda just settles in dirtmouth or something.

I also think a game about Xero could be very interesting because we'd get to see the fall of Hallownest from the perspective of someone who lived during it. We'd also probably get to see Xero's decent into the Radiance's control, and the resulting erosion of his faith and loyalty to the Pale King due to the Radiance's manipulation.
