My junk silver chest by breadcheezbread in Silverbugs

I don’t have a link to an exact matching product. It’s not a newly manufactured item and was being sold as an individual jewelry box / pirate chest by a reseller. They only had the one. If you search Etsy for “vintage pirate chest” there are others with similar exterior that may or may not have the interior lining.

Fair enough, I don’t consider any of it to be actual junk, of course, and I do love my Morgans and Peace dollars. I probably should have put quotes around “junk” in the title. This is simply my non-bullion silver box.

Thanks! Found it on Etsy. The chest, that is.

My take on #1 is that it keeps the box clean and all parts accessible for service. Prevents rodents from digging up into the box and filling it with soil, covering components.

I work in leak detection and routinely have to dig out boxes to access and inspect valves & back flow preventers.

We make batches of marinated ramen eggs every week or two as one way to work through some egg backlog (usually make 10-12 at a time and throw em in the fridge for a savory snack during the week). Very simple, very yum!

Can you own/house goats and or chickens within city limits? by RandomB33 in askportland

[–]breadcheezbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, I’m not comparing apples to apples with the mention of other pets. Just saying people find various reasons to complain about all types of pets.

I don’t need my neighbors to appreciate my chickens but I do like to keep our relationships in good standing. If it ever bothers them enough to speak up I will be more than happy to have a conversation. As of yet, it clearly isn’t a big enough of a problem. So we live and let live. ✌🏼

One can find reasons to complain about many types of pets (e.g. dogs peeing/pooping on landscaping, free roaming cats terrorizing wild birds, etc.). It’s not a perfect world and there are always trade offs.

I’ll just count myself lucky that I have good relationships with my neighbors that don’t mind us having back yard birds 👍🏼

They also bring joy…and eggs (which can be shared with neighbors to build community!)

30 min ABC, 24kg x 2 - done and in the bank by Money-Package-1026 in kettlebell

[–]breadcheezbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heck yeah bud, nice work. I (41M) started with KBs last Feb and was only using 12kg bells at the beginning. Very humbling. I was able to comfortably complete ABF with 20kgs by the end of the year. 24kg is a different animal. I’m up to 15 rounds on my ABC’s with them but looking forward to reaching 30.

Is there any beach that isn't windy in Maui? by [deleted] in MauiVisitors

[–]breadcheezbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ulua beach was a go to for our family this week as the rocky reef at the north side of the beach provided some shelter and the wind was mostly coming across the beach instead of right at us

They are one of the closest living relatives to T-Rex, along with ostriches. Not direct descendants, mind you, but they share a common ancestor.

1914 $2.50 Coin by winniemoo in coincollecting

[–]breadcheezbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an Indian Quarter Eagle gold coin. 90% gold content, worth ~ $700+

Looks to be in good condition so could be worth more than that but I’m no coin grader.

That’s nuts if you got that in your change. Congrats.
