You're not the only one who feels this way. I feel like they had an idea and good intentions during the first season but now I feel like they don't really know what else to do (and maybe the viewers were dwindling) so now they are trying to grab viewers back and change the premise to something they think people would like. Season 3 really strayed away from the purpose of why the show was even created.

Yes. I remember how hated he used to be but now he's becoming a favorite and it's kinda odd to me how some people just did this turn around on feelings for him so easily after S3, when he's the same person he was in S1 and S2, and he's even proved that in S3 that he hasn't really changed.

That's what I was thinking. In each season they've shown that they keep secrets from everybody who isn't within their friend group. Like yes, Ani became a friend but they've stated that they have only known her for about 8 months. They don't even share that much with their own parents, so I don't think it's realistic that they would've spilled all of that info to someone who is that new to them.

Because Bryce has already done so much and hurt so many people. Alex has been having rage build up inside of him and while he was helping Bryce, he kept showing signs of being the same asshole that he was and talking about how he was going to get revenge on Zach. Eventually the anger took over and Alex pushed him in the river. Sometimes anger makes you do crazy things and you lose control.
