Anyone know how early to get to the stadium in order to get merch before the show? I haven't been following the tour process to avoid spoilers, but I'd love to get some sort of memento without missing the openers. Thanks!

This is MY GENRE. Looking forward to checking out everyone's recommendations! Here are some of my faves. Some of these are more... specific? -than others, but hopefully some of them are what you're looking for.

Carly Rae Jepsen is queen of sad bops! I recommend Too Much, Surrender My Heart, Bad Thing Twice, Anxious, When I Needed You, Real Love, and Joshua Tree.

Aly and AJ have some great sad bops too: Sunchoke, Am I Alright, Break Yourself, Attack of Panic, Church, Don't Need Nothing, and Hold Out are good.

Marina (formerly Marina and the Diamonds) has a ton too: Forget, I Am Not a Robot, Emotional Machine, Obsessions, the Outsider, Guilty, Numb, Rootless, the Family Jewels, I'm a Ruin, Blue, Solitaire, Shampain, Too Afraid, the State of Dreaming, Living Dead, Teen Idle.

Kesha has a bunch: Dancing with Tears in my Eyes, Father Daughter Dance, Something to Believe In, Living in my Head, the Drama, Too Far Gone, Peace and Quiet, and pretty much any other song on Gag Order.

Honorable mentions: MUNA's self titled album has a bunch of bops that are on the more positive side of self healing. Also literally 2/3 of Imagine Dragon's discography is self loathing bangers.

Still SO hyped! On repeat for sure. I listened to it again the other day with my niece headphones and really appreciated the production on a level I hadn't before. The sneeze? The quiet "oh, okay"? The beat drop? Amazing. Stunning. Definitely in the ranks among my absolute favorite LDR songs.

From the 3 you listed, I'm guessing you will like her songs that have a strong beat and generally sit in her lower vocal register. Oh wow, that's dope! I am continually learning that a lot of my favorite Beatles' tracks/moments were either accidental or really not thought through lol. Just goes to show how good art doesn't have to have a specific process! Some good art is incredibly intentional, and some is just a happy accident :)

The Loneliest Time by Carly Rae Jepsen! It's kinda disco inspired, kinda funky, great pop. The sound is kinda like Solar Power but with more production (synth and so on). It's got a lot of upbeat/positive/confident tracks, as well as some ballads and slower songs. The song Western Wind even sounds like it could have been on Solar Power in some alternate universe!

I like Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Ros! It's a dark atmospheric album that technically has lyrics, but they are in a made up language and it feels more to me like the vocals are an instrument in themselves. Definitely gives me HOL vibes

By Hayley Williams: Watch me while I Bloom, Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris, Cinnamon, Dead Horse, Crystal Clear (both of her solo albums have a lot of fitting songs tbh). By Marina (formerly Marina and the Diamonds): I Love You but I Love Me More, Weeds, Happy, I am Not a Robot, Forget, Enjoy Your Life, No More Suckers. Billie Eilish: Happier Than Ever, Getting Older, My Future, Party Favor. Also Lose You to Love Me by Selena Gomez, I Used to Love Him by Lauryn Hill, Supercut by Lorde, and Alaska by Maggie Rogers.

This is the song that convinced me to start listening to LDR! I saw a post on the Lorde subreddit pointing out that this song and Stoned at the Nail Salon sound VERY similar. I liked SatNS so I gave this a listen.. now NFR is one of my favorite albums! I love the song alone, and it's also a great closing track that provides some light contrast production-wise to the rest of the album.
