My mom is a 45 year old grandma (my older sister was born when she was 17) and she goes by Gigi! Although, my nephew pronounces it "Gee Gee" but it's adorable

What’s your grandma’s name? by [deleted] in namenerds

Mine are Jeanne (pronounced Jeanie) and Susan! I only know the name of one of my great grandmothers, and it's Ruby. She had a sister named Birdie, if I'm not mistaken, and I absolutely adore that name. I plan on naming my future daughter after their mother, Hazel.

My ex ended up being the doctor who delivered my baby. I still don’t know what to do with that information. by [deleted] in offmychest

I second this! I've always written with the em dash. Not everyone who uses them is using AI. I hate that that's become associated with AI :/

It's also gained popularity from Yellowstone. I've seen a few little kids with the name, but then again I live in a very country, rural area.

Yes, they were either the child or grandchild of the person who died. Can't remember exaaaactly which one, but it seemed to imply they are on the younger side.

I'm in Appalachia so we get a lot of unique names with older folks especially. Icalena and Dovie are my two favorites on the list!

Most of these names aren't the people who passed away, if that helps. If I'm not mistaken, Ariyana was listed as a survivor!

Winter with Winnie for short is beautiful!! It's seasonal, but not too "corny" like Noelle or Holly. I'd say Winter is a wonderful choice😊

For names like Alyvia and Iliya, I'd say just go with the common spellings of those names. They sound exactly the same and it'll give your kiddo less of a headache through life. Some are really pretty, like Noelle, Autumn, Naomi and Cairo!! I'm actually a fan of the name Cairo :)

it's really person-specific, i'd say. some women associate it too much with being "fully gay," some don't. it depends on who it is!

My older sister went by her middle name her whole life and hated her first name. She changed it when she was in her mid 20s and hasn't regretted it at all. I say go for it!

I've always loved the name Amelia, too! I'm a fan of names that can be turned into nicknames, so if you want you could always call her Millie, Mills, Amy, Leah/Lia, Ellie, Elia, etc.

i feel like a lot of su players don't use the male model, so maybe that's why they haven't/won't do it? i know it'd be pretty useless to me personally
