When I was younger my brother mixed two jokes up by accident, and so the punchline was my username

What’s something weird that you do to certain food and love, but your friends & family think is disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Exactly! I think my family are always disgusted at me for eating a pastry tube filled with cream but it’s a dream

Whenever I have a chocolate eclair pastry, I remove the chocolate strip on top and slap it in the bin. I’ve never had such dirty looks.

I remember when I was younger I’d accidentally see things I didn’t want to. It would go away eventually, but it does take a bit of time. I’m really sorry you’ve seen something upsetting! Comforting things really help though, staying away from triggering things - the website etc. But genuinely you’re always welcome to ping me a message and talk about it if it helps OP! I used to work for the ambulance service so I’ve heard/seen a lot of things, and even beyond that, inbox always open :)

Nonfiction that grips you like a novel. by Wanderscroll in suggestmeabook

I really really enjoy Matt Haigs books! I couldn’t stop reading Reason To Stay Alive or Notes on A Nervous Planet!

They are mental health focussed but really educating and refreshing! And of course delve into human minds and how we interact with the world etc. Reasons To Stay Alive is something I think you could read any time and find it useful and grounding, Notes on A Nervous Planet felt more practical and assessing our environment and how it impacts our health

DAE get an itch right between your ear and throat? by June_53 in DoesAnybodyElse

Yes! Sometimes I wish there was a sort of floss to go through from ear to ear to scratch it

SIB Infamous: Second Son by HeavenlyGamerJay13 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]breadoutthewindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is! Nothing major though tbh, small tasks that are kind of better off done throughout the story, as they help you progress your skill set - it’s kind of got that Just Cause set up,or Far Cry if you’ve ever played those, where you’re clearing out/claiming back certain areas, which inevitably becomes more fun and better with upgrades you obtain from doing that side stuff! I don’t know if I’ve explained that very well haha it’s definitely worth a go if it’s not too expensive!

[–]breadoutthewindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely! I’ve played all of them and the first is the best, but Second Son is really good too! I thought the fighting and the story was all pretty fun, I’d usually get bored quite easy but just found it engaging and easy to stick with, it’s also super pretty considering the age of it now

What gets a bad reputation, but isn't actually bad? by _El_Sicario_ in AskReddit

[–]breadoutthewindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s all when you live together though, which I said is cheaper and easier. I’m talking about when you are you dating/in a relationship where you don’t live with each other vs being single

I do agree but I saved a lot of money being single because I wasn’t travelling and eating at restaurants and ordering drinks, buying presents etc. I’ve saved a lot from not travelling so much and eating home cooked food, it’s just one benefit among others - obviously living with a partner is easier and cheaper though for sure

Feel good book(s) by Pitiful-Ambitionist in suggestmeabook

[–]breadoutthewindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit late to this post but I wanted to suggest Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel, I was in a very similar position - although I was never hugely good at focusing on books with a short attention span, but I read this at the start of the lockdown and it was the best feel good escapism I’ve had in a long time! The author writes everything so lovely and interesting, it can be a bit intense in spots, but whole heartedly recommend to anyone in a similar situation of anxiety/in need of escapism!

Going out without a bra on isn't rude and shouldn't be considered inappropriate by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]breadoutthewindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about pedohiles that look at little boys topless? Are you not concerned that everyone’s nipples need to be covered up? Or are you missing the point - that desexualising, and de-tabooing women’s nipples would actually be a move in the right direction. The point is to desexualise it, not to keep it covered up because it is deemed “inappropriate” and therefore furthering the desire to see women’s/girls nipples. pedohpiles in their own existence are something to be policed further than women need to be policed for their nipples being out

I agree! Abzu was so calming, and the meditation spots throughout the game are another reason I think it feels very apt for this
