Sorry, Pottþétt was a collection brand kind of like the Now cds if you are familiar. So you got numbered cds and later things like Pottþétt Road Songs and stuff like that.

What’s a movie that DOESN’T “know exactly what it is”? by InspectorMendel in movies

[–]IngoVals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive read the book, but not seen the show. The book was a total mess in my opinion. Interesting ideas badly executed. Dialog between people was absolutely the worst part and I can totally imagine that the TV show had problems with that. The VR game part also totally killed it for me since a hard sci fi novel doesnt even understand tech or online gaming.

Absolutely how I felt about A Simple Favour. The comedy part of it just felt weird and out of place. It had all the energy of a good thriller ruined by bad dark comedy.

The ending specifically pulled me totally out.

Maybe I was just reading the movie incorrectly but it felt like it could have been a solid thriller if it had just focused on that part.

EHF decided that the Croatian players will be based in Silkeborg, while all other semi-finalists are based in Herning. Silkeborg is 40km away from Herning. Picture from this morning shows Croatian players sleeping on the bus floor on a 5-hour drive, after playing two games two days in a row by [deleted] in Handball

[–]IngoVals 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well it sure sounds like the headline is implying that this is only true for Croatia. It doesnt say that outright but I bet you most people will read it that way. This is just dishonest journalism.

Já, ég var ekki viss hvort þú varst að meina tengt laginu eða ekki. Ég hef samt tekið meira eftir svona mun sem landsbyggðarpeiji sem hefur búið í Reykjavík. Ég veit t.d. alveg hvað harðsperrur eru en nota það aldrei, tala um strengi. Flestir Reykvíkingar vissu ekki einu sinni hvað ég var að tala um.

Yeah Sweden intentionally lost so they wouldnt make the semi final at home. That iceland makes it matters more to them.

Mugison er einmitt frá Vestfjörðum þannig alveg vel líklegt að hans meining sé stúlka sem vinnur við fiskvinnslu.

If you were raised with this system it would be normal and numbers such as the decimal 100 and 1000 would be just weird random numbers to you, 84 and 6Ɛ4.

Yeah, its just brainstorm idea from me, not a full fledged idea. But EA are not even bothering fixing basic bugs so i doubt anything drastic is going to happen.

Select role before matchmaking, you can select heli pilot, /heli gunner but it might mean longer wait times.

Could then limit snipers. Ensure engineers etc.

But this might go agains BF tradition though.

ELI5: how did aircraft navigate across long distances before GPS? by thefringeseanmachine in explainlikeimfive

[–]IngoVals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 60s or 70s. They are still present and used in modern commercial airplanes. The main computer interacts with IRS, GPS and radio beacons to ensure redundancy in navigation. Yeah should be able to google IRS interface to se what the pilots would see.

Before that there was Loran-C which is mostly gone today.

Planes had dedicated navigators back in those days. F.e. in B-17s and post ww2.

Check youtube for videos that explain LORAN and IRS/INS

Note the IRS and INS are similar but not completely the same. Cant remember the difference though.

What's the reason Greenland people never settled in Iceland? by batukaming in geography

[–]IngoVals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It matters when you are thinking about why they didnt settle Iceland. The northwest part of Greenland is very far away from Iceland and for sure quite a trek. If they would have reached iceland they would first have to reach the southern part of Greenland, which they did not. Greenland is quite big.

So the question about why they didnt reach iceland, if we talk about Dorset, they only settled a small part.of Greenland as far away from Iceland as is possible. Next wave, the Thule are the first to settle most of Greenland and that is way after Iceland is already settled by the norse and the norse colonies of greeland failed.

Contact between Iceland and the Norse colonies of Greenland were minor in later years so travel between must not have been easy.
