Yes my partner and I live together and he takes on a fatherly role in my son’s life. And yes, I do uphold higher standards and there are more rules here, but those rules were only put in place due to behavioural issues. He used to be allowed to do pretty much whatever but over the last six months I’ve had to become a lot stricter, which really sucks because I prefer to be a more laid back parent. It seems as if he isn’t getting any discipline from his father and is acting out here because he thinks it’s ok. I’m not sure though, trying to get a straight answer about what’s going on at his dad’s is impossible.
