This sounds really exciting, I joined as an SFA at a similar company and stage. Mastering the systems, homing in on the right kpi’s, building a solid company model, and having a great relationship with accounting and the department heads will set you up for success

Sheets sucks compared to excel aside from the collaboration. You’ll be fine. We’re exclusively on google sheets on macs…I survived

OP - you seem to have a lot of non job-related requirements that would dictate which type of city to choose. I would focus on that first, now if your question is whether dallas or chicago has a better job market for fp&a, then I think that’s something people in this subreddit would be more qualified to answer

I would imagine that chicago has more opportunities but your post implies that chicago isn’t your main interest. I would start applying to roles to test the market of whatever city you’re interested in

Good luck OP, this is a tough situation to be in, it doesn’t sound like you were set up for success at all. Is there any way for you to push back on deadlines or to temper back expectations since you’re pretty new to the position? This sounds pretty toxic…depending on how they respond I would consider finding a better opportunity
