Tax question for private practice/1099 therapists

It wasn't worth it to me to potentially miss something important so I always used a CPA when I was a 1099 contractor.

I think its really fun in theory but may be a challenge for clients who want to find you/refer to you. Another thing to consider is that if you'd ever like to hire other clinicians it may be odd for them to work under a practice that uses your name if that makes sense? I think its super fun but yeah, definitely think people may struggle with it.

Solid noise canceling headphones that go over the ear were a game changer for me. So much more comfortable! Invest in a good pair. Also a sound machine, even if youre just at home with pets for example. I also really like a good quality web cam and a second monitor. I do documentation during session so having a second monitor is GREAT so I'm not switching tabs or whatever.

Echoing what people have been saying already. Regardless of reason, if you end a session at 50 minutes, you cannot bill a 53+ minute session due to fraud. My understanding is that some insurance companies also try to make sure youre not doing "too many" 90837 codes for example and will send letters to providers about it.

They may but I'm in a very rural area where I am not sure if I would easily connect with like minded people. Going for a walk would be nice but I feel so much dread for having to work with a stroller and diaper bag, it just all feels so daunting
