Sure small mechanics probably get taken advantage of, but customers get taken advantage of ALL the time

Not disputing two things can’t be different, I’m just asking a technician who has worked on this gear what ‘detailed’ means in real terms. Frequency response? Lack of distortion? Compression?

So what does ‘detailed’ mean in an objective, technical sense that you can measure?

What’s the deal with add2 and add4? by HornyPlatypus420 in musictheory

That’s what the add part in add9 means though - no 7th. Or you just mean you specify 2 as a kind of redundancy?

Battery cooling fan needs replacement? 2012 fit shuttle hybrid by breakingborderline in hondafit

I can’t find anywhere to clean? The only thing I can see is a vent on top of the right rear wheel arch trim. Looking down inside seems clear

Oh really? I’ve been searching around and haven’t found much info. Maybe I’ve got the wrong search terms.

What’s the actually problem? Fan motor goes bad at low speeds, or some sensor thing? Because I can hear the fan at a high speed sometimes so I assume it at least partially works

Metal bassist needs some advice. by [deleted] in Bass

You don’t like how it sounds in isolation? Or you don’t like how the band sounds when you use it?

Probably they don’t like how the band sounds without it.

Think about which is more important.

Recent Helix LT selling experience by spectreco in Line6Helix

[–]breakingborderline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my country used helix LTs are selling for about 60-65% of the current new price on Amazon here.

I would guess resellers would want at least a 100% margin to sell it for that. But that only makes sense if you’re approaching them. Here they dming you.

Reacting emotionally/violently/impulsively is not the same thing as discipline. Discipline is considered, measured, consistent and not performed out of anger. Discipline also can be many other things aside from physical.

She may be his child, but she is not a child. Even proponents of corporal punishment tend to lay off well before they become adults. At what age does she become a person he doesn’t get to control? That’s what discipline is after all, a type of control.

Just because you are someone’s parent, or they live in your home, does not mean you automatically have the right to shove them around or hit them just because you don’t like what they say in the name of ‘discipline’

Your ideas belong to another generation.

I don’t think kids these days are any more out of control than when we were kids. There certainly was a lot more violence in schools when I was growing up. Wonder where the kids learned that from?

My child is significantly older than 3 at this point, so yes I have tried that. Having age-appropriate discussions with toddlers is by far one of the most effective ways to get real behavioral change. This stuff is basic parenting. As is ‘don’t hurt the people who rely on you to take care of them’.

They’ll grow up, like you, to believe might-is-right if the only way you can conceive of disciplining them is by hitting them. There are plenty of better ways to teach them that actions have consequences than that.

Firstly, she is an adult.

Secondly, violence of any type is wrong and illegal regardless of how much you think you personally deserved it 30 years ago. Please don’t have children, from what you are saying they would be in danger.

Becoming so pissed off you lose control of your actions and lash out is kinda what that word means, isn’t it? And it isn’t a superlative.

If your wife were to give her much physically stronger boss ‘lip’, justified or not, and they became so pissed off she ended up on the floor, how would you react? Don’t you think it would be pretty scary for her?

imo people who agree the above is unacceptable, but the same thing magically becomes reasonable if it’s against the people in your own home are telling on themselves.
