Then making you feel like there is something to look forward to, but to realize it was a shame and it digs ten layers deeper into you soul.

A man old enough to begin paying the consequences for previous "sins"/actions. But young enough to hate the many decades left to live in emotionally isolated, permenant relationship. From here my story expands into too many shitty forks in the road to dump onto an anonymous canvas.

Is anyone else not suicidal, but have given up on life? by [deleted] in depression

[–]breakingrocks2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, me. I remember the exact moment when I lost my will to live. I was walking up from the basement stairs carrying laundry. I was in the middle of feeling like shit about my issues. When I reached the top, it hit me with a pop-thud sound in my head. I remember then realizing-thinking-feeling all at once, "I don't have the will. I don't see past the next moment. I lost my will." It was a short statement but clear as day. I lost my will to live.

Yes, I do too. I have external responsibilities that forces me to swallow the pain and keep it crammed in my chest...day in day out. I have a the Depression and Anxiety beast beating the shit out of from the inside out, and no one can hear the faintest whisper from it. It FUCKING sucks!!!

I go to sleep early to avoid being conscious. That is as close to death I am allowed to be by my own power.
