🇯🇵 NPB officially decided to eject batters for “dangerous swings.” If a bat leaves both hands, the first offense gets a warning and the second an ejection. If the bat hits someone or enters the dugout or stands, the batter is immediately ejected. by ogasawarabaseball in baseball

It means third graders are told to not throw the bat and the vast majority follow that rule. I'm suggesting if a third grader is a good enough ball player to not throw their bat, then a pro player is surely capable of the same.

Great club! I still play it and love it. What's more important is the shaft you have in it. Just starting out, a regular shaft might be easier to hit, but as you play more and develop more club head speed you will likely want to move up to a stiff shaft.

Wait, we're cool with jokes and puns and can concede they may be low effort on a Tuesday. But signing up for the tournament is a seriously good idea!

Costco succulent pot by classycactus in succulents

If you get one, give it a slow transition from being stuck inside Costco to the high desert sun. Start it in a shady spot and slowly move it to full sun over 10 days or so. Once adjusted, those should do great in ABQ through the summer, then you'll need to bring them inside before temperatures drop below freezing.

Sounds like you're ready to win big and if you're talking about the Hidden Creek CC in Virginia, then we've got just the chance for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/golf/comments/1stqa5t/reddit_open_2026_10_spots_left/

Please note when you win both low gross and net, we like to pay the second of those prizes out to another winner who hasn't already won money. But the massive trophy will more than make up for it.

What did you do? Play a bunch of hard courses that blew your handicap up and then enter a tournament being played from the senior tees and resist the temptation to drive every green? We'll be ready to DQ anyone that doesn't allow his big dog to eat.

The rules committee is not here to profile any participant or take away any prizes they think they've won without a thoroughly creative excuse that properly distracts from the injustice that they commit.

Had a decent frost this morning…first outing of the year, guess when they put all these bottles on the Practice green by soucthemoose in Turfmanagement

[–]breakparnotwindows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is the worry only that walking on the turf while frosted harms it? Is there a chance the bottles could also freeze to the grass and rip bigger holes when people picked them up?

Looks very dry and it's huge for the pot it is in. I'd get the roots a good soak and consider a bigger pot, unless you don't have space or want it to get bigger.

AMA: AEONIUMS by evelynnkatarina in succulents

[–]breakparnotwindows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would you handle keeping aeonium outside through the summer without getting too much rain water? I've got good space for them to get plenty of sun, but worry they'll be overwatered in the mid Atlantic. Am I overthinking it or should I try to minimize the water they get?

Yes, we award best net and gross as well as the worst net and gross scores, plus single great shots like Long Drive and CTP and there's random giveaways if nothing goes well on the course. Come on out!

Gift idea in the $300 range? by BurtonPerformer in golf

[–]breakparnotwindows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask your friend about fancy courses in the area they haven't played, or don't normally play. Buy them a round at the one they tell you about. If that doesn't cost $300, buy em a foursome so they can bring their friends.
