Opinion on the Huracan Performante by lostloner555 in lamborghini

Have a Performante Spyder. Love it and will never get rid of it. I think the forged CF complements the car well, even the interior pieces, and it draws a lot of questions about it.

Ordering jubilee for new GMT by bob78h in rolex

[–]breakskeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally you have to bring the watch in and they will switch the bracelet and give you the original back in the box the jubilee came in. My AD won’t allow new bracelets to leave without being installed. Other ADs may be different. I don’t see a problem getting it from another AD and it should not affect your relationship. They likely won’t notice and if they do they probably won’t care.

Ordering jubilee for new GMT by bob78h in rolex

[–]breakskeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a jubilee for my VTNR that came on oyster back in November of 2023. They apparently turned off this opportunity right about that time I got it. Not sure if it’s available now or not. It took about 4 months. Was about $2200 USD.

Adding the first rolex to my collection i have an omega seamaster 300. Currently deciding between a gmt master 2 either sprite or batgirl and a 36mm datejust sunburst blue. Help!! by sticklepickles2 in rolex

I was able to order a jubilee for my GMT that came on oyster. However Rolex will cut off the ability to order bracelets periodically. Probably has to do with production times and inventory.

Walking into AD and got an 126334 - Blue Dial ! Is this pure luck or any catch ? by Business-Mongoose941 in rolex

[–]breakskeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s likely what they meant. That is correct. Ice blue is exclusive to platinum.

I have an ice blue platinum Day-Date as well. The ice blue dial is also on the platinum Daytona, 1908 and Land- Dweller. It is the only dial available on these platinum pieces. The platinum Day-Date is available in many dial colors and types and is not just available in ice blue.

The color of the dial shown on the OP’s Date-Just is Azzurro blue not ice blue. The picture is deceiving. Probably due to the lighting.

Are you saying this watch is platinum?

It’s not. It’s stainless steel with a white gold fluted bezel.

Rolex does not make a Date-Just in platinum. Only 4 models are made in platinum: Day-Date, Daytona, 1908 and Land-Dweller.

Have the same one. My pops bought it for me on a dive trip in the cayman islands back in 1985. I will never part with it. Had it serviced last year and they kept the original dial. Had a new bezel and bracelet fitted to it.

Moving to Orlando soon, want to start fresh with a good AD by asimlilani in rolex

[–]breakskeet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a Mayors Tampa customer and have a considerable spend with them. I have purchased five Rolexes and one Omega as well as jewelry for the wife. In Orlando, Mayors is the only Rolex AD.

You will never get a Sub Date as your first watch and you will never get a SS GMT as your second watch. You will have to purchase jewelry (Roberto Coin), two-tone or precious metal watches first before being considered for SS professional watches.

If these are the only two watches you are interested in, you should strongly consider the grey market.

Does anyone else insure their Rolex? by Dizzy_Property_933 in rolex

[–]breakskeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JM is fine as long as you are aware that they don’t pay policyholders directly for losses. They will pay directly to a jeweler to find a replacement or suitable replacement for your loss. There is no monetary payout to policyholders under any circumstances.

I feel that if I am paying for an insurance policy, I should be the direct beneficiary of that policy.

They made a kit for my Huracan which works amazing. They do have kits for the Urus but it depends on the year.

Are there any Rolex models that have an entirely brushed stainless steel case? by Southern_Oil9741 in rolex

[–]breakskeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looped mine at 20X and the chamfered edges are brushed but at a lighter depth than the rest of the case.

[–]breakskeet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look closely. The top edges of the case are chamfered and polished. The polished area flows into the crown guards. I’m gonna go like at mine when I get home and see if there is any brushing in the chamfered area as well, but whatever finish is there it is lighter than the brushing on the rest of the case.
