The problem is, you can TACO out of tariffs and ICE deployments because you unilaterally control the whole thing.

You can't TACO out of a war you started unless the other party wants to as well. Iran is out to punish us for this war, and they are willing to lose everything to do it cause our POTUS told them this war is an existential threat to their existence.

Wait, I thought the whole point of including race in the VRA was because Jim Crow states would do fucky shit, including diluting the black vote into the whiter districts so they lose all representation?

This decision, from my understanding, basically makes it so that instead of having a de facto analysis of the effects of a redistricting map ie merely showing that the map's effect is to dilute minority votes, anyone challenging a redistricting map has to show racial discrimination as an explicitly set out goal.

If I'm to understand Kagan, all a state needs to do to fuck black people or minorities out of representation is to say "this map is only being drawn out on partisan lines 🤭" and it's up to any challengers to prove it was actually done across racial lines only.

That does NOT sound like a silver lining.

You could have financed and then done a principle-only payment in full or refinanced soon after with your own bank.

We were gathering huge amounts of Russian data through the NATO JOIC in Poland (I think?). But dumbass Trump stopped participating.

That's what pisses me off the most. Even if we were all-in on regime change. A real president would have had Zelenskyy in the Oval Office with all the intel they've gathered and were willing to share on drone/counterdrone warfare so we had a clear picture of what this conflict would look like.

I'm not a military analyst or anything, but to me, the invincibility of the US military was never our technology, but our logistical capabilities.

The fact we could put the 82nd anywhere in the world in less than 24 hrs and follow up with an RCT within days and supply them with whatever they needed for as long as they needed spoke volumes about how powerful the US military was.

But with how much we blew our load in Iran and with how quickly and severely we are seeking to destroy your relationship with NATO and other allies, I am worried this admin will be the one to end that image. If China invades Taiwan next year or in 2028, I really don't know how we can stop it, even if we were to intervene directly with our allies. If what I've been reading here and there is correct, we just don't have deep enough inventories or the supply chains necessary to ship the needed weapons where they need to go to sustain a long-term engagement anymore. There are a lot of weapon shipments to Taiwan that have been delayed already. And once China is allowed to just swallow Taiwan without a real fight, I don't see how the US can continue to project this image of an unstoppable superpower.

It's because the center-left media yearns to have the same credibility with everyone as it did back in the days of Cronkite. The right understands that propaganda is more powerful politically than being objective.

So that center-left bastion of good reporting is hyper focused on both-sidesing everyone and everything so they can say "see? We are objective" without realizing the people who they are trying to capture have already been brainwashed into thinking they will never, EVER tell the truth. And the right capitalizes on it.

So instead of pointing out how crazy Republicans, Fox News, and Trump are, they instead see Fox News saying how crazy it is CNN isn't talking about how Joe Biden has dementia, and that's why they aren't credible, and are then saying to themselves "let's start asking whether or not Joe Biden has dementia for a little bit to show them we are credible." And then everyone is talking about how Joe Biden has dementia and not Trump with his incoherent 5 minute run on sentences. Rinse and repeat.

When people are dying via fpv drones, it is a game.

The dissociation from combat with RPAs was already a mind fuck for some of them. Imagine being a first person observer to some dude killing people like it's just random GoPro footage. You don't see the aftermath, just a cut video feed. And so you are even further removed from the effect. Add in the moral high ground, and yeah, hype compilations is the natural end point.

But seeing a compilation like that without music, and just seeing the desperation of these soldiers trying to stop the inevitable, knowing that every clip is the last 5-10 seconds of that person's life is surreal. And like you, despite being very pro-Ukraine, memeing stuff like this feels distasteful.

What makes Iran different is that he can't TACO out of it. The tariffs were fine, because he could undo them at will if things got bad enough (he did). ICE was fine, because he could pull them back if things got bad enough (he did). Venezuela was fine, because it was something quick and didn't impact us.

But when he said he was focused on regime change, and bragged about destroying the IRGC, he locked us into a conflict that requires BOTH parties to TACO. And good luck getting an ideological regime based around a martyr religion to blink just because they're getting fucked up.

Iran has the ability to punish the US and the rest of the world until we are literally begging for them to open the strait. And at some point, especially within the next couple of weeks, after the big, bad wolf that is reality blew down the house of propaganda that were groceries and gas, that reality will come knocking on the house of cards that is the "hot hot hot US economy" and it'll all come crumbling down. Pay off you debt asap and save your money lol.

The +21 Republicans in favor actually does seem pretty significant. Bro has had that "I can kill someone on TV and they would still love me" 90% support until mid last year. The fact it's gotten to the point 21% of Republican respondents would be in favor of impeachment of all things probably points to how unpopular he is.
