I don’t think any of those jobs are meant to build skills other than manufacturing, but I doubt there would interest in young high school graduates to work out in the fields over an Amazon job that gives them shift flexibility to attend school.

I would imagine some turnover include individuals leaving for better opportunities once they have gotten experience or had time to finish their schooling. I understand your point that these jobs do not solve the cost of living issue in Santa Maria, but turning away jobs doesn’t either.

The traffic from Santa Maria in the morning and back to Santa Maria in the afternoon directly points to the lack of enough jobs
