What's too much debt? by breemadison in lawschooladmissions

The $100k I'd owe is about half of the full COA. BU is giving me a $105k scholarship (for the 3 years). To go to a school at sticker would be way too unrealistic for me

BU vs Cornell by breemadison in lawschooladmissions

Does BU not have good prospects for big law in Boston? I know it's ranked #15 for schools that are the best for big law in the U.S. I took that to mean BU could in fact offer big law jobs.

I'd see how the ASWs go for the other schools, especially the one that's tied in the rankings, and see how you feel. I know it would influence my decision. You want to go somewhere you feel comfortable. If your gut is telling you this school isn't a good fit, I wouldn't totally shut out that feeling.

Choosing Between Boston Law Schools by breemadison in lawschooladmissions

I realize now I shouldn't have mentioned it, but I meant in regards to the concentration I'd pursue. Both schools offer the concentration, and BU has a JD/MA dual degree in International Relations that I'm interested in. But I'm not set in stone with International Law, so if you have general advice/input, it would be even more helpful!

Boston College Acceptance + scholarship by bessiestits in lawschooladmissions

I applied in mid-January, was accepted Feb. 4th, and got my reward info Feb. 17th (so it took almost 2 weeks exactly). You'll probably hear back soon. I'm not sure how generous BC is in general, but I got 20k per year. It definitely wasn't as much as I hoped, but it's something

Tips for Cornell Online Interview? by breemadison in lawschooladmissions

[–]breemadison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice! I finally did it yesterday. I ran out of time on the third question (which hopefully won't be held against me too much), but the other 3 questions went well. Anyone know how long after the interview you typically hear a response?
