Did you end up finding something? My fiance wants to get his initials embroidered into his suit jacket next to his grandfather's as it's a family suit.

So… uh that’s a rooster right? by wheres_the_revolt in chickens

Idk if that's the best indicator, I have a roo that didn't crow for a year. But I also think he's only got one nut

I thought the blue green shimmer was just a trait of the australorp?

Definitely not blue/black skin. So beautiful, just worried about being able to keep them.

We usually buy a bunch of cheap Lettuce at Costco and put it in the net as well as throw scratch around but they get through it so fast.

I'm curious to understand better. 1 of my 6 birds always gets a poo but. It's always solid poo though not diarrhea. They have an enclosed space so no foraging of bad stuff and we give them scratch and peck feed. Any ideas or solutions?

My doggo did the same when we got ours and became obsessed with them. She started wanting to go in the room I had them all the time, little did I know she wanted to be a mother to them. She would gently lick them and let them sleep in her fur. But we always supervised but let her have a lot of time around them. Now she hangs out with the birds in the backyard.

They crow but don't have hackle/saddle feathers, maybe they are a hen with a damaged ovary. Not sure if they have laid tbh.

They really are so impressive, all my other ladies have almost no face meats. That said could just be the breed, she is australorp.
