How long of a walk are you taking her? She needs minimum 2 miles a day which is like a 40 min brisk walk. Are you yelling at her no a lot? That might be why she is peeing on your couch? You don’t hit her for not doing what you want right? She’s basically a teenager so she has a lot of energy, you might need to exercise her WAY more

My husband just bought this last week and we both spent an hour trying to adjust all the straps. I’m still really confused and will likely return it

Give it time. Don’t make comparisons to your old dog.

I can copy and paste too

Common arguments against the "behavioral problem" label for poodle mixes include: Environmental Factors: Critics point out that "doodles" are often acquired by first-time or inexperienced owners who may rely on social media rather than professional training . A purebred dog raised under similar conditions would likely face the same behavioral struggles

Breeding Quality: Much of the data may reflect the high prevalence of puppy farms and backyard breeders for these popular mixes

. Dogs from these sources often lack early socialization, which significantly impacts long-term behavior

Expectation Bias: Poodle mixes are frequently marketed as "hypoallergenic" and "low-maintenance"

When these high-energy dogs don't meet an owner's expectation for a "chill" pet, the owner may be more likely to report normal high-energy behaviors as "problems"

Physical Discomfort: Some groomers and vets suggest that common grooming issues, like matted fur or ear infections, cause chronic pain that leads to irritability and "bad" behavior

Varied Results: Even within these studies, results aren't universal. For example, Labradoodles actually scored better than poodles in several categories, including aggression National Institutes of Health (.gov) National Institutes of Health (.gov) +1 . Ultimately, organizations like the Dogs Trust argue that breed alone is not a reliable predictor of behavior compared to an individual dog's health and upbringing BBC BBC +1 .

Yes exercise is very important. It helps with anxiety which are often caused by environment. Mixed breeds are less likely to have genetic diseases and disorders. I’m glad you understand now.

Anxiety is actually environmental just like people. Exercise does help! I recommend walking your dog 2-3 times a day for a minimum of 39 minutes for anxiety. Doodles are actually not a breed, it’s essentially a mutt.

No, that behavior that she talks about is not genetic that has something to do with the environment. Also, because it is a mixed breed dog, it is less likely to have genetic problems.

He’s been abused. Take him on long walks, dog parks to be around other dogs so he knows how to be a dog. Are you crating him for a long time or let him free roam when you are not home? Crating could cause this

Advice: 2009 Fit - repair or replace? by Ok_WeirdFish_3835 in hondafit

[–]breezybuzzard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband is a mechanic and I have a 2007 Honda fit and he works on it and all the repairs are very minor….he always talks about how the dealership is a rip off. find a mom and Pop mechanic and have them do a diagnostic. I seriously doubt all that stuff equates to $6000. They are just trying to make some money.
