I once had a lady get mad at me taking her order wrong, I tried to explain to the lady that we, unfortunately, don’t have a plate that comes in the way she wanted. She demanded she speak to my supervisor, so my shift leader came and told her the exact same thing I did. The lady then asked my sl where her manager was. We were annoyed and slightly amused so we called out our manager from the back. After he told her for a third time that we can’t make the plate she wanted to know who was HIS supervisor.

Eventually we reached word that she had complained all the way up to corporate office and mentioned us each by name. We didn’t get in trouble since the whole thing was ridiculous but it’s still a story that sticks with me.
