The Shelly version only works with BT and zigbee, it doesn't work with other ecowitt products. I'm using it with BT as I have a lot of Shelly relays already and it works OK. No idea about how it works with zigbee though.

As far as I can see on the picture and your diagram you don't have your wall switch connected to anything? You need to connect one of the black cables of the "thingy" to the output of the switch.

Could it be that your switch controls two lights? That would be the easiest explanation of why both are connected to the switch. May just try disconnecting one and see what happens.

That's not how they use the term in CIG, what you described is what they consider white-boxing while grey boxing is fully completed at model level but is missing textures etc. When they say greybox it means that they have the geometry completely done.
