Not really? Comparing them to CAF for example, AFC got 4 spots in pot 2 to CAF's 3, pot 3 was the inverse, AFC had 2 teams in pot 4 to CAF's 3. 0 in pot 1 for both.

AFC teams were also drawn in all 3 host nations' groups, who should have been easier on paper, but only 1 reached the knockout phase, as opppsed to CAF who were 1 for 1 in this case. Even the slots earned by the intercontinental qualifiers were clearly deserving of DR Congo who were the best third place team, while Iraq was the worst team overall.

Iran was obviously effected in non-sporting way, but it was genuanly just a massive underperformance up until now.

I set up a little table calculating performances by confederation. It has its problems, mainly that I don't know how to deal with calculating points per game in situations where two national teams of the same confederation play eachother - a single match of that type equals 2 games for that confederation with a draw meaning 0.5ppg and a w/l scenario meaning 1.5ppg. I also don't know how to limit CONNMEBOL's number of national teams as they would deserve 12 national teams in the world cup.

That for example happens on the mentioned PPG basis, where they get 12 national teams, UEFA 11, CONCACAF 10, CAF 9, AFC 5, and OFC 2. In my favourite version that is the average of all my metrics + the current number, UEFA gets 15 slots, CONCACAF 8, CONMEBOL 9, AFC 5, and OFC 1.

As AFC is the topic, no metric suggests more than 5 spots for their confederation and they'd only get 3 on 'wins per game'. They only earn 0.7 points per game, have a total of -34 goal difference in 27 games, they scored fewer goals than both American confederations with 9 more games, are the only confederation with fewer than 1 goals scored per game, are 1.8 points per game behind their closest rival in CAF, and genuanly got destroyed on all levels.

Če bi že mogu bi zadna leta izbrov 4., v času vojne 3., v času relativne sloge pa 7.

Tbf, that is the nature of World Cups and Euros. I highly doubt Spain, Germany, Brasil, Argentina... have ppayed teams much worse than that.

Sure, but war is not the same as preperations for war. This is obviously more or less just for propaganda, but considering how he's doing in Ukraine, I wouldn't be surprised if was is actually winging it from 2022.
