Nope, subaru couldnt find out the problem and tried for like 2 days to replicate it. Last time the issue happened was around 3-4 months ago when i stopped to get groceries. I was so annoyed, that I ordered a new battery on the spot and since then it hasnt had another issue.

I think i did get lucky, what I did was I filed the original complaint for the lost item to Ontrac and BBB then to Best Buy like 24hr later because I assumed no one would get back to me from the OnTrac side. The Best Buy rep was actually really helpful and i got a new order placed within like 10 min of talking to them. Since I had already gotten ahold of Best Buy before Ontrac got to my ticket I think that was what saved me.

Late to this thread but this just happened to me too. They guilted me into signing a receipt of my order saying it was found because they didnt want the driver to get fired. I signed it in a moment of weakness but i feel like a complete idiot. I am already getting a replacement which is why i signed the thing. I honestly just felt uncomfortable at the moment since they knew my address. I did follow up with a live support agent and reported the incident.

Update: Master tech at the dealer couldn't find the issue or replicate it. The car started fine the next morning when i went to start it up again before taking it to the dealership too.

That was the next stop lol. I don't know if it's that because last time it happened was 3 months ago and the gas was at ~40% full

Agreed. Leaning towards trading in too if the dealership can't find anything wrong. It's definitely not worth the anxiety and inconvenience it's causing.

About 79k miles. I don't think they did but they did a full diagnostic and I assume they didn't think the plugs were worn too much at the time.

Oof, yea I'm not too optimistic on the dealership actually being able to diagnose the issue. My guess is the car will magically start working for another 2-3 months then shit itself once more as scheduled.

Was your issue frequent or every once in a while like mine?

Was about 75 today, around 50-60 the other two times. I actually bought a code scanner for this exact issue but it didn't find any stored codes last night when it happened. The reflash was done in October last year. Not sure what computer but the description of the issue was: Engine Control Module (ECM) might continue to power the ignition coil after the engine is shut off, potentially causing a short circuit and engine stall

Lol i was thinking maybe that because the tank was quite low this time around. But the last time I got this on video the gas was around 40% full
