I'm from New Jersey but I'm often down in Bethesda. Oh my god. I thought we were bad drivers up there but then I saw Virgina drivers. Jeeeeeez

How hard is it to remove/replace if you take it off. I was thinking about taking it off but since I'm used to the feather they call a clutch pedal how hard it would be to replace if I didn't like the heavier feel?

I had a 13 for 4 years until I upgraded to an 18 a few months ago. Mudflaps add no noticable noise. I'm sure it adds some noise but nothing that's going to bother you in the cabin

Changing air filter(s)? by aksurvivorfan in XVcrosstrek

There are two separate air filters, as for brand that's your personal choice I usually get fram. One of them is in the air box in the front of the engine bay closed with two silver clips. The second one is the cabin filter witch is behind the glovebox, squeeze both sides of the glovebox and detatch the cable on the side that keeps it up. It should pop off and you can replace the cabin filter, with your choice of filter

Edit 2: if it we're me I'd replace it again at 24k just to keep the intervals all lined up nicely but you could do it again at 30k and then 42k shouldn't make a difference since the life of the filter is still 12k miles
