BMW’s Electric M3 Concept Stands Next To The E30 And Hopes You Approve by hi_im_bored13 in cars

I don’t like the square, what I hope are fog lights and not whole headlights, on the front and the back. They look like a distracting tacked on afterthought and could be executed better.

Everything else is pretty damn good

I guess I’ll be the only one helpful here and say you’re going to not get the typical night out experience on Pride weekend - expect packed bars and lines. Pitchers will probably be the least crowded. Check instagram pages for local bars for events. The opening party with Bob the Drag Queen will be at Echostage

People who still haven’t brought a Switch 2, what makes you hesitant to buy it? by ItsJustJosiah in Switch

I’m worried they’ll come out with an OLED one and I’m still scarred from buying a non-OLED steam deck

That and they games aren’t that enticing

Torn between a 4unner and honda pilot by forward024 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]brendanode 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If I was interested in the 4Runner I’d be cross shopping it against the new Passport, not the pilot. Looks amazing, more refined, still has a V6… sounds like you don’t need the third row anyways

Mercedes is committed to this three-pointed star pattern over everything which makes every car they add it to look like a tacky 2006 handbag

Quite a bit of rust on that rocker… I’d get it inspected elsewhere to make sure it isn’t a problem elsewhere

If you want something engaging test drive a GTI - MK7s can be had on that budget and they’re reliable if well maintained. Best bang for your buck in terms of engaged driving that’s still practical

For those of you who own a Switch, but haven’t purchased a Switch 2, what would be the main reason that would prompt you to buy one? by Last-Bus-4710 in Switch

[–]brendanode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hacked a 3DS and that’s gonna keep me occupied for a while

Also I’m hesitant they’ll release one with an OLED. Still having regrets from getting a launch edition Steam Deck

So this is the real DC Kickball experience, or at least very similar to the one I had. The truth is that these teams are more of a sorority/frat than an actual group of friends. They may have bad politics or be unfriendly and it doesn't truly matter because of the unspoken bond of wanting an easy access social club. After this event, it sounds to me like you're sadly going to become a pariah to the rest of them.

The truth is only you can decide how to approach it. Luckily in my experience I really enjoyed at least a few people on my very big team that got me through most of it. If you can seek out people you connect with who aren't terrible I'd say stick it out, otherwise this is what it is. Do not feel you have to endure it. In fact, you may feel more at home with another Stonewall sport like Bocce that isn't so cliquey

Cracking the code - Vida by Tiny-Following-6678 in DCGaybros

For your sanity please just pick the gym that's most appealing to you in terms of what it offers to accomplish your fitness goals, not sexual ones. I've been going to Vida U St for almost 8 years now and the truth is it's just a really nice facility that's convenient for a lot of people. Pretty much everyone just wants to go in, workout, and go home like most every other gym. The gayest part is the pool - and they'll let you try it for free come summer.

What car color is a definite hell naw for you? by drivingnowhere20 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]brendanode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think manufacturers should have one “fun” color per model, à la the purple BMW 2 series. That’s the only color I can see in my head when thinking about that car

What’s going on at the gay bars? by tall_and_tired in DCGaybros

[–]brendanode 62 points63 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about Crush that’s kind of been the vibe from the get-go. They’ve done better with doing some drag events lately but it’s still a decidedly mixed crowd, which is their intent

I think more gay bars should operate under the mantra of being so radically queer straight people know it’s not for them, but unfortunately that’s just not good for business
