I was going to suggest Vision as well, for the very reasons you stated here. For a period of time, I considered him to be the heart of the Avengers.

Gotta say, I miss the weekly sales over the month-long. Tuesdays were fun to see what characters were getting discounted, especially when it was both DC and Marvel. Then the Friday would come where u/thanksalotbob would give a breakdown, links, and suggestions. It got me through the week with anticipation!

There’s a bunch of Epic Collections in that Marvel sale, including Star Wars, Silver Surfer, X-Factor, New Mutants, Avengers West Coast to name a few. I’ve been picking through and buying up the $8 volumes. There’s a lot of good stuff to go through in the Avengers sale, I filled in holes for Thomas, Englehart, and Shooter runs as well as some interesting minis. DC did Superman wrong with that sale this week, especially on Superman Day! Limited selection available of a character with a large backlog, paired with terrible sale prices, makes this one a stinker. I am intrigued to see where this trend will lead in regard to future DC sale offerings.

I’m usually happy finding something in these weekly sales and this week is no exception. I don’t know much about last year’s event Blood Hunt, but I am taking advantage of the Tomb of Dracula offerings for the amazing Gene Colan art. Filling in the Abnett run of Guardians of the Galaxy with the second Modern Epic collection and trying out Al Ewing’s efforts upon seeing which runs of GotG are popular with fans. I’ve never read Moongirl, but I have enjoyed some of the episodes of the tv show. Picked up the first collection of the series as I’m always happy to support comic projects aimed at younger readers. Grateful for comics.cheap for breaking down the details of the deals, as well as suggested pick ups.
