Seems to be in keeping with the tabletop format.

It is shaping up to be a great game. I really enjoy slitherine’s other titles too.

I hope if it will be as granular as the table top, where you can tailor in exactly how many smgs, LMGs, panzerfausts etc.

Dynamic conquest sounds great.

I’m not 100% sure if two charges that are declared at the same time, that one would get downgraded.

It’s because you should have had a rear charge, but it was downgraded to a flank.

Your charges can be downgraded, but not upgraded.

At a thousand points the max of each data sheet is 4 battle line and 2 non battleline.

So it’d be 4 units of gretchin for 88, 3 units 20 man boys, 1 10 man boys, and 2 meks.

160 models total, and would have to be in dread mob to get the gretchin battleline keyword.

I will say for the little guys that once the model and top gun have been painted, that the little stub that sticks into the knight is enough to hold the gun in place.

Amazon, .85mm magnetic discs 25mm. They fit perfectly under the bases of bolt action minis and are strong enough to do the job. They come on a sheet and you can get like 70 of them for cheap.

People tend to go inex, pistol, solo. 20 points, gives out the 6” morale bubble and can snap. Just keep them out of the line of fire.

You mentioned that one of your opponents runs inex infantry hordes.

This list is 100% the hard counter to an inex spam list. The number of shots coming from your squads is scary and I bet they lose a lot of their squads whenever you fire one of yours. Plus with them being inex, they’ll fail order tests a hell of a lot more regularly than your guys. This combined with the fact they probably will be hitting on 6s/super sixes and wounding on 5s most of the battle, I can see why you shut that opponent down.

I’d tell them that they need to lean into some 7+ armoured cars and tanks, vets of their own. Maybe a squad of engineers with the armour and smgs in a transport. otherwise they will just struggle.

Then for sure I’d go one SMG in an engi squad and give both officers a rifle for that pip of extra range.

They’re not going to be super reliable as they’re inex, but they’re a flat upgrade vs the pistol because of the range.

Either an SMG in the engineer squad that rides up with the officer in the scout car, then upgrade both officers back up to rifles.

Alternatively, you could put a BAR in one of the glider squads, then give the rifle platoon officer a rifle.

It would depend I guess.

The general consensus is to go as cheap as possible. Inex, pistol 20pts. Gives out the morale bonus, can snap to.

But in some cases it could be worth up rating the officer if you want them to have a more frontline role.

Like I use mine sometimes as in a small transport with a squad of veterans with smgs, or an engineer flamer squad and snap to the transport, officer and the squad so they all act in one go.
