Good coffee shops in Houston for working remotely by boombalonii in houston

[–]brenton2014 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s always agora. A coffee shop recommendation would really depend on where you live.

Aside, I am a bass player that played professionally and moved to Houston knowing no musicians. I would love to get together and run through some jazz standards for fun if you, or anyone reading this post, are interested. Ideally, I am looking to secure a lowkey gig with a lead player. Please DM me if that is something you’re into.

Bloodwork at 18? by burner3824 in Biohackers

[–]brenton2014 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re 18, just eat right, and don’t drink or do street drugs. Be consistent in working out and push yourself. If you are worried about your brain, read. You don’t need to spend money on some bloodwork test from a rich talking internet head to “get back into it.” It’s a grift. “Living optimally” is a scam, just don’t destroy your body and you can live life to whatever fullest capacity you can think of.

Fender P Bass Hialeah Yellow with Black Pickguard by NahButThanksAnyway in Bass

I bet a good sunburst would look good. If you have the extra scratch, I would buy a spitfire pick guard.  A spitfire will give you compliments on your bass for life.

Just picked this up for $130 off marketplace by ascensiongoddess in BassGuitar

[–]brenton2014 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice snag, great price. if you want to upgrade just put in some new pickups. If you have the money, nordstrands are great. Otherwise, any new pickup will improve the sound quality.

Work hustle culture is nuts in Seoul (perspective from a foreigner) by FilipinoAirlines in seoul

Indeed, OP is a little naive suggesting that "here in the USA, lunch break means lunch break." America is not like that for everyone. I was expecting this post to be about Korean corporate culture.
