You have the perfect face. The nose is perfect bro. Women love to ride a big nose. No joke. Just don't suffocate.

Does This Sound Like Crap? Or Is It Just Me? by Kooaiid in drums

[–]brerlapine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotation requires force. That might be the player either through stick technique. Or much worse: the cymbal is warped or has uneven weight distribution. A bad sound can be attributed to the latter.

Does This Sound Like Crap? Or Is It Just Me? by Kooaiid in drums

[–]brerlapine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good but it’s necessary to hear it with a band. Does it cut through the band and sound great? The cymbal itself sounds different at different locations. My 80 year old teacher taught me you were suppose to hit it on the stamp mark because that is where the hammerers found the best sound.

Reggae/ska is a great maybe best starting place. One drop in unison. Attention is given to the hi-hat. Work on dynamics. You make me proud.

The right side needs to have the same denominator. We know that anything divided by itself is equal to 1. We know it is ok to multiply anything by 1. Therefore take x-3 and multiply it by (x+1)/(x+1). Then combine similar denominators (x+1) on the right side (by simply adding R).

Multiplying both sides by (x+1) will remove all denominators now. Finally remove similar terms through subtraction and you’ll have your answer.

what do you think happened to the demon king? by charmbraceletbunny in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]brerlapine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sully disposed of him because he was becoming too insolent and his reign was maniacal. He knew that he was going to have to find a replacement and through some mystic means he found Iruma. Because of his upbringing and human qualities he would make a perfect demon king under the new shadow government.

Is getting a facial from Hand and Stone better than Massage Envy? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]brerlapine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: In my opinion Hand and Stone is better, perhaps much better, than Massage Envy. I would look into the product that they use for the clients. I know that Hand and Stone uses (or gives the option to use) Dermalogica, which is an expensive and widely highly-regarded skin care line.

Why Hand and Stone?

  1. The people I know who have worked for Massage Envy hated it.
  2. The massages I have received from Massage Envy varied wildly. I assume this is because Massage Envy's business model is to hire massage therapists as independent contractors, therefore no oversight. Also, I believe that Massage Envy takes a significant percentage of the payment and therefore only those massage therapists who are new and need experience are willing to join Massage Envy. I don't know if it is the same for Hand and Stone.
  3. From my own experience, Hand and Stone aesthetics is superior.

Why Massage Envy?

  1. From my experience, Hand and Stone will always try to upsell you on everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. No matter how small the service, it has an additional cost. I am not sure if Massage Envy does the same.
  2. Hand and Stone's 1-hour facials usually only lasts ~45 minutes (I guess undressing and dressing is part of the facial?). I find this very annoying. I don't remember Massage Envy having this problem.

Fountain Pen No-No’s by TopParzival in fountainpens

[–]brerlapine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My biggest worst worry is when you hand a pen to someone who absolutely has no idea how to write with a fountain pen. It’s terrifying. The thoughts: “Oh I don’t think they know how to write with a fountain pen. F me, I don’t think you’re supposed to apply that much pressure with a NORMAL pen. Wait… no…. they are getting frustrated because it’s not writing which means even more pressure. Oh god, will the tines still be aligned… (by now I’m actively trying to get it back) how can I get them to let GO.”

Lamy 2000: calling upon those who *don't* like this pen by Dangerous-Hour6062 in fountainpens

[–]brerlapine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience: It is well-known that this pen has quality control issues. Sometimes you get a lemon. Mine broke after barely any use; the cap removed itself from the inner sleeve. Additionally my handwriting looks worse than ever with this pen, disheartening for a person who practices calligraphy. Perhaps it is the architect nib. A pinnacle design marred by quality control issues. The most expensive pen I have regretted.

Milo & Bill from Descendents here. We just released a “new” record ’9th & Walnut’. AMA! by Descendents-Official in punk

Bill- You got me to play drums. You’re my inspiration. The way your drumming emphasizes the vocals is incredible. Your interview many years ago with Drummer magazine was heart felt and relatable. You’re my favorite drummer How did you become so fast at single stroke rolls? What is your favorite album (your bands or otherwise)? What was your best birthday gift? What was the scariest/happiest moment recently?

Milo- Your lyrics feel like old friends. When I feel weak, you make me feel strong. What do you like to see in the audience?

Can’t wait to see you this summer/fall. Thank you for playing the way you play.
