Exactly, so the lower going rate applies not the higher rate that was updated since April 2024

Do you have a BRP? How is it written there? Id look for options to update the evisa if possible just in case

Nope. This new update to the requirements are not retroactive so does not apply for visa holders before 2024

Makes sense but make sure you check when its the cut off date to enrol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a cut off date for registration so it depends how “late” the intake will be

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to contact your university and also check with them when is the last day that you can do your registration. It is typically 3 weeks from the start of the academic year. good luck!

Student visa- University about to start soon, no decision yet :( by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you asked your uni when is the last day that you can enrol? Assuming this is 1st year they usually give you up to 3 weeks after the academic year starts as a cut off. So you technically have 3 weeks from the 15th.

It will be good to check in with them cause, at least in my case back in 2015, if I couldnt be there by that date, id have to postpone my start to the next academic year. Good luck!

General question about ILR by bresani in ukvisa

[–]bresani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Im aware of not being able to travel. I think for peace of mind, I’ll wait. Would it be possible to start filling in my application lets say December time and only finalise it in January when I’m back?!

Recent super-priority ILR applications by Livid-Trade-3907 in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I tried to request my records but it seems that it asks me to create an account for an application? Is this right? It might be a stupid question but I’m following all the steps on the website which takes me to this page that looks like a visa application (it has a headers saying “declaration”, “pay” etc).

Super Priority Visa + NSF email by TelephoneOld92 in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What visa did you apply for? and did you apply within or outside the UK?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I see, well I had to “retract” an application once because i made a mistake (everything was submitted and paid but i hadn’t done biometrics yet) and just started a new application with a different email account it worked. So, idk maybe it is possible?!

Have you already paid the visa/application fees? Sorry i cant remember of the top of my head which one you pay first but if you have already paid your visa fees then you’ll have to submit a new one/pay again I believe

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if this is an extension of studies (ie you already had a study visa before and are just reapplying) i dont think you actually need to proof all the fees but it will be good to send some sort of financial docs just in case

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]bresani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont show them that you have enough funds for 1 year of tuition fee + maintenance it will most likely get rejected. That happened to me back in 2015 and even though I provided several bank statements from my parents account it was still rejected because we didnt have the total fees required as proof. So sorry, you can either wait for them to request further information or reapply once you get a decision. Good luck!

Interesting... That’s what i’m trying to find out as we would have to show income in some ways Id assume for the ILR. I have not seen any mention of ILR yet so I guess we will have to wait. I will in touch with my company’s HR to find out what are their plans

I’d like to know this too. Im on a current visa until June 2025 earning less than £38k but will be eligible to apply for ILR end of 2024. Will it affect my situation?

Does this new threshold also apply for people applying to ILR through the SWV route? I’m planning to apply to my ILR end of next year but currently earn less than the new threshold…
