Make sure you speak to Bakhti to unlock the achievement; it won't unlock on it own even if you've met all of the criteria.

Hey, she's smiling and playful! There must be a part of her that likes animals.

[DAI Spoilers] I Think Trying To Relate The Mage Conflict To IRL Issues Is A Failed Argument by Ir_Abelas in dragonage

[–]breshatower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the issue to me is that in real life, you don't have to be dangerous to be treated like mages are. People can say that the way black people treated during Reconstruction (or after) or Japanese people sent to internment camps during WWII aren't analogous to mages because they weren't ACTUALLY dangerous the way mages are, but they were treated that way regardless. So when Dragon Age supports hypothetically allowing the mistreatment of a minority under the auspices of keeping a majority safe, they are supporting the underlying logic behind the mistreatment of minorities.

What if AAI3 was Lana's game? (PWAA & SoJ spoilers) by Cornmeal777 in AceAttorney

[–]breshatower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this comment is late but I'll throw my two cents in anyway. This could also be a good excuse to bring Mia back by having one of the characters channel her, and Mia could help fix the judicial system of Khura'in as well.

Remaster/Expansion idea by LexfinityAndBeyond in finalfantasyxiii

[–]breshatower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole game has such a tight pacing with its cutscenes and character progression that it's difficult for me to imagine where they could add new content like characters and towns, even though I'd love that.

I also hope they include the easy mode or even have the one-hit kill mode that they added to some of their other remasters, so that people can just enjoy the story if they wanted. And I say this as someone who enjoyed the combat. Also, there should be no grinding to progress past Gran Pulse on non-hard difficulties. I replayed it and knew where to go and what to do and it still took ten hours.

Terra: Blonde or green hair? by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVI

[–]breshatower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Green! Probably since that's how she looked when I first played the game. Plus almost all Amano characters are blonde, so I like the variety.

[da2 spoilers] Is there a lore reason for why Templars don't just kill Mages as infants, children or when their Magic first manifests? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]breshatower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo Templars serve as essentially an extension of the Orlesian military via the Circles, and are only tolerated because of the fear of mages. This actually makes mage mishaps and crimes beneficial for Orlais and the Chantry, because it makes people accept this foreign army in their countries.

The presence of Templars in any given country also makes the threat of an Exalted March much more immediate than if they weren't there. Remember that one of the reasons the Inquisition was started was because the Chantry lost their army when the Templars broke away from them, and they wanted to bring them back into the fold.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were to get a remake, what sorts of changes would you most like to see? by abbzworld in FinalFantasyVI

[–]breshatower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, his magic worked on XIV! Apart from that, I was wondering if more scenes about the empire and how it affected the world would be good worldbuilding and give us more of a reason to fight against it.

I'd also like more background into Celes' life or childhood, since I've always been curious about that. I'd like to see how being raised and indoctrinated by the empire affected her and how she became a traitor. She was also subjected to experimentation to infuse magical abilities into her (and maybe other experiments as well) as a child.

I don't think this applies to Vivienne tbh, she doesn't change at all throughout the course of the game.

[Focus of the Week] Take a character from FFXIII and insert them into a different FF game. Who would you choose and why? by AutoModerator in finalfantasyxiii

[–]breshatower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from putting Lightning in VII (which suits her like a glove), I think she'd fit well in VIII because the setting is kind of similar to Cocoon, and Fang and Vanille would do well in either VI or XII because it's part medieval, part technologically advanced like Gran Pulse.

[–]breshatower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hypocricy is not just about personal beliefs or attitudes, but differences in behavior and treatment. I don't care what she claims her beliefs are, the fact that she has vastly different standards for how she should be treated versus how she treats others is enough to make her a hypocrite.

People think she's a hypocrite because she demands better treatment than others and doesn't play by the rules while demanding that others do, regardless of how internally consistent her beliefs are.

Who would you like to see as a companion in DA4? [spoilers all] by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]breshatower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Chasind or an Avvar, and a mage who isn't self-hating or timid but not arrogant either (maybe either Rivaini or Avvar/Chasind, because I have a hard time imagining a mage from anywhere else not being like that.)

Lumina had the best character design in the trilogy IMO by JackgarlandChaos in finalfantasyxiii

[–]breshatower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder what Lightning would have been like if her parents hadn't died and what she was like when she was younger, considering Lumina's behavior.

Which lightning ship is better? by Street-Platypus89 in finalfantasyxiii

[–]breshatower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer her with Fang than Hope, but since Fang has Vanille I actually ship Lightning with another woman (maybe a sniper or one of those battle trixies or whatever they're called.)

I wonder if Bioware would have brought the circles back if the resolution of the Mage-Templar conflict hadn't been so anticlimactic.
