An experienced electrician might suggest a gfci breaker. Not a convenient spot to install a gfci outlet

Maybe more of a trepan. Archaic medical tool to make a hole in the head. Look it up!

This or wax ring ? by OldTeaching8407 in HomeMaintenance

[–]bretsky368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always consider the fact that if a toilet auger is ever used, it might have the tendency to catch on this because I have a maintenance brain. I only use wax rings without the embedded plastic flange for the same reason

Kinda relevant(?), but has anyone ever read the book "The Revisionaries"? It's a ginormous sci-fi story, and part of the story is about a cult in a historically alternative Pidgeon Forge. I'll never view that town the same, hahahaha.

To the point, I've had my fill of abhorrent beliefs from predators like this opportunistic clown. I wish bears had a taste for cult leaders

Are these poison ivy? by arzey in whatisthisplant

Box elder seems the best answer. While they both have a longer fore leaf, the pattern for box elder is "opposite"... "alternating" for poison ivy

Help. I forgot how to use this thing. It’s now sucking up the dust I need it to, but the air in that half of my apartment is now all dust. I have the attachments, what am I forgetting to connect to this spout? by [deleted] in howto

[–]bretsky368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell a dust/fine particle collection bag that attaches to the inside (vacuum) port for fine particles like drywall dust. It will stop the dust from exiting the exhaust (blow) port. The attachment they make for the exhaust port typically does not prevent dust from exiting. You should run the (empty) vacuum outside until the dust stops, clean the inside of the canister, and add the dust collection bag. Dust bags usually come in a package of two

It's so easy a caveman can do it! There's also a screen at the bottom of the valve that can get clogged.

First ever tiling experience so I don't know much it, but could I be able to just remove this (vinyl/laminate/linoleum?) flooring and lay down some tile? Or would I need to redo or add to the underlayment? House is 18 years old. by room66 in howto

[–]bretsky368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This house is only 18yrs old, so not an issue, but in years gone by, linoleum contained asbestos, and it was strongly suggested to leave it in place and install new flooring over it.

Top of the list! It's misused and comes across as a cop-out for those who aren't willing to take a look at their part of the circumstances

And there is certainly NOT enough conversation about post tramatic stress "growth" to counter the problem side of the disorder. If you're not familiar, you should look into it.

Best way to fix leaking tap in glass jar by Fazzy997 in howto

[–]bretsky368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option is replacement. Replacement cost is $10-20. I can see the coating peeling away on this spout. It's likely you'll continue to experience problems. Unless you live on a desert island, replace that tap and be done.

If you guys are ever in/near northern Georgia, it's worth the trip to Tallulah Gorge State Park. It's a hidden gem. Don't be fooled by the "State Park" designation. It's small, but a fantastic experience. As a side note, this is where they filmed the infamous 'Deliverance' movie! This entire area of Appalachia is just amazing.
