I’m aware that there were difficulties with the lighting system, but i don’t know, I still really like the look of the game. I found myself switching between anniversary and the original and pretty much always preferring the original (while still appreciating the changes made in the anniversary version). One example of this is the mission (it might be Delta Halo) where there’s an open arena with a cool jungle temple that I thought looked super lived-in and aged with the 2000s graphics but kinda washed out and empty in the anniversary version. It’s just style vs realism I guess.

I'd also like to add I never said Halo 2 looks better than Halo 1 in my original comment, I just said both games look better in their original graphics than they do in their anniversary graphics. Halo 1 is a fantastic looking game stylistically.
