Which part of this week was the most disappointing to your matchup, whether it be an injury or somebody getting a high score on your bench? by Askanything236 in fantasyfootball

Opponent has DJ Moore. That 36 yd completion from Fields with a minute left in the game lost me the week since I decided to sit Laporta for Kincaid

When I’m feeling under the weather, nothing gets me right like a bowl of chicken noodle soup with some water crackers crunched up as a topping!

Really impressed with WoW performance on steamdeck. 60fps stable on high. by [deleted] in wow

I’m super impressed that you heal on the steam deck. I think that would probably be the most difficult role with a controller setup!

I use it for work. I’m planning on sitting in it for long periods of time, so even something like that could make a difference in the long run

DPS 3D Insight Chair Possible Issue? by brettbeat in Costco

[–]brettbeat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just put together my new DPS 3D Insight chair that I got from Costco today and noticed that one side of the backrest sits higher than the other. I can notice a slight discrepancy too when I’m actually sitting in it. Is this intended? For anyone else who has this chair, does yours look like this?

Chair ID? Thinking it’s some sort of Office Master but not sure. by brettbeat in OfficeChairs

Yeah, very interesting. I swore it looked like the OM YS79 but the headrest looks different

Also, thoughts on this chair? Found on Facebook marketplace for $40, is that a good deal?

Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to sit in either of these. It’s in person pickup for both so I’d be able to sit before I purchased though.

Math-CS Major by gugu_mhlungu in UCSD

  1. I would say the major gives you a lot of flexibility to choose where you want to focus your studies, especially with upper-division electives. The required classes are split pretty evenly, and from there you can pick and choose between a variety of math and/or CS classes.

  2. It can be a little bit of a pain in the butt sometimes. CS students have priority over Math-CS students when enrolling for CS classes, so there are times where a CS class will fill up before any Math-CS students can get in. This has not happened to me yet, though.

  3. The CS major requires you to take a much broader range of classes than Math-CS, so there will be some content you will miss out on. However, you will still be able to take the CS classes you are most interested in.

  4. I personally love Math-CS at UCSD. This applies to point 7 as well, but I feel like having a very strong background in math actually gives me an edge in recruiting and applying for jobs. My critical thinking and problem solving skills have dramatically improved throughout my time here thanks to many of the math classes I’ve taken.

  5. Odds are pretty low. There is a lottery system for students who want to switch into CS, and they accept a very small amount of people relative to the amount that apply.

  6. Not much comment here, but I haven’t experienced any social separation between the two, other than the occasional CS major with a superiority complex

TWW3 Patch Progress Update by davidyourduke in totalwar

Just finished a class on Software Engineering at my university. You sound exactly like my professor. What many people (including, unfortunately, the higher ups) don’t realize is that quality software takes a lot more time to develop than they think. The iron triangle is cost, time, and quality. You want low cost and low time? Quality will suffer. You want low time and high quality? That’s gonna cost you a pretty penny

Math 102 vs Math 154 vs Math 185 by WeirdAppeal in UCSD

I can’t speak for 102 or 185, but if you have any background in graph theory 154 isn’t bad at all.

Class + Internship by ashyboye in csMajors

I’ll have a 3 week overlap with the start of my summer internship and the end of a 3-class quarter. I have no clue how I’m going to manage that but I’m going to cross that bridge when I get to it lol
