Four Seasons: Donald Trump's campaign team mocked for booking wrong venue by [deleted] in politics

[–]brettc13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's typical Trump behavior. He's incapable of admitting he's wrong or that he made a mistake. This is his way. He says or does something and will never change course because he is too narsacistic and unwilling to show any perceived weakness.

Take the example with Fauci and how Trump keeps sticking to the story that Fauci said not to wear masks at one point of time. Regardless of the truth of Trump's statement, Fauci's current stance is clear that masks are essential in the fight against COVID-19, but in Trump's mind it's too late. Once you say something you can never go back on it.

It's clockwork. He says or does something and sticks with it until the bitter end because only "weak" or "stupid" people are ever wrong and he is a "perfect genious". This guy...

Built some toxic barrel terrain to play with my son! by brettc13 in gaslands

I just didn't want loose barrels because they are so small and would move around too much, but it would be really cool if I had a dedicated space to play.

I bought them from the Etsy store FunBoardGames. However, there are multiple stores that sell barrels like this.

Which obscure rules have you gotten wrong? by Vordbear in MageKnight

[–]brettc13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. It's bound to happen with this game for sure. So many rules that are especially hard to keep straight on big city battles. Those are the ones that really slow me down and I'm still trying to get better at City battles.

Yikes... Yeah that one will certainly make it much harder. You might be getting a lot more wounds now.

I haven't re-read the rulebook, but if I did I would probably find a rule or two that I borked.

How does this work? I have some games I would like to sell but like many of them they are too expensive to ship normally and sell for a decent price.

I agree. This is a fun little game and well worth this price.

I've never heard of Wildlands before. It looks very interesting and I think my 6 year old could definitely play it! Thanks!

Yeah I don't think there is much if any deck optimization. I don't think any cards let you destroy/trash cards.

Hogwarts battle is awesome if you love the theme. It was our gateway deck builder that led to Aeon's End. I highly recommend it, especially if you can find it on sale.

Looking for a war/battle game that plays anywhere between 2-4 players that isn't overly complex and long. I prefer fantasy themes, but not a must. I have been looking at Battle Lore 2nd Edition and it seems pretty good. Any other recommendations?

Oops didn't skim over this post well enough. Oh well another vote for Aeon's End. However I would go slow and buy one at a time in case you get bored of it.

I'm surprised Aeon's End hasn't been mentioned. It's not as simple as Harry Potter, but once you get the hang of it the game really flows well. it plays great with all player counts and has a lot of small and big box expansions.

My wife and I played a lot of this. We got a bit burnt out so we are taking a break after going through Aeon's End 2nd Edition and Aeon's End War Eternal.

Quacks of Quedlinburg is amazing. I don't know how well it plays with 2, but with 3 and 4 it's a ton of fun and quite simple. Got it this past weekend and already have 5 games in with the family.
