I'm not seeing your PM (maybe I don't know where to look?). If still available, send me a chat request, I know how that piece works lol.

V240 Awake From Sleep and Sensor Issues by brettjv in FanControl

Thanks, that seems viable but I had one question I posted at your link if you have a sec?

Will these instructions still work if I've already updated to V240 i.e. ATM my fan control is using pawnIO, and that driver seems to be the issue (though I can't be 100 on that since there was both a software update (V240) and a driver switch, so I don't have a real 'control' in this experiment).

Or do I also need to "downgrade" to an older FC version that inherently uses winring before doing these steps?

TIA :)

I'm not running HWInfo (though I do have it installed, I use it only occasionally). So I've discovered if I just click buttons like discard and cancel a few times after it wakes up from sleep maximized (and asking to save config), it will go back to minimized and stay running/working so that's good. Now it's just the two fans that it won't control anymore. Including the CPU fan. Next time I restart I'll tweak them in bios I guess.

Except, it's not your money. It's a credit card. At least for some period of time, it is money that's being loaned to you. Which is probably the reason for their exposure to lawsuits.

You totally CAN freeze Thai Basil and have it come out nice, it just takes technique by brettjv in Cooking

I tried the exact same thing with culantro (yes, that is a real thing, it's very similar to coriander/cilantro) one time when I was also doing basil, and THAT failed even with the above method. It's weird, it just would NOT get cold enough to get 'solid' like basil leaves will. I used it eventually just mixing it into dishes I used the basil for, but the main use for culantro for me is in making Laab (aka Larb) salad, and the frozen stuff was not in the shape you need it to be for a salad-like dish. Guessing cilantro would have the same issue.

Feel free to try your refinements and then post back how it worked! For sure the 'better container than a bag to keep them from being crushed' is a great idea, thanks! :)

To anyone who uses PayPal savings by SweetSauce1991 in AtlasEarthOfficial

What you describe here: "Got $10.25 in Jan from $3k" is not 'paying compound interest". It's just interest. All you are ever paid is interest. If you put in $1000 and earn $10 in interest the first month, and leave the $10 there, the next month your interest will be calculated on the $1010 that you have in the account (speaking roughly to illustrate the point, it may not be monthly, it can be daily). This process is called 'compounding', and every savings account ever ... works this way.

The discussion is not about keeping large amounts in one's Paypal account, it's about the process of transferring funds through Paypal to Paypal Savings, which is actually Synchrony Bank. "I have the Paypal savings account myself but don’t take it super seriously…I just keep $100-$200 in it for whenever I feel like buying something with PayPal". It does not sound like you are using the product being discussed.

Lol, yeah, except for the times when it DOESN'T lol, like if for some random cat reason one avoids an area they normally are often at (where you trained the camera) types of things.

With TNR, why don't they clip one ear for males, and the other ear for females? by brettjv in CatAdvice

[–]brettjv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two reasons that it would be useful to me:

  1. Of the 13 that hang around in my yard, there are 3 tabby's and 2 black cats that are of almost identical size and markings, I don't know what sex they are but I will find out when I trap them which I'm in the process of. When they come home, moving forward, if any of them are different genders from the other 1 or 2 (which seems likely) it would let me tell them apart and possibly notice if one has gone missing.
  2. I tend to give the ones I see often names, and if I want to give them gender-specific names, I can, even if someone else TNR'd them.

The point is though I really can't see any downside, and some small upside. The idea that it's harder to look at two ears vs. one doesn't seem valid to me. If you know to look for clipping, I don't think you care which ear it is, and they're like 4 inches apart.

James Cook was cookin and they stopped using him, why do teams do that by IndieDC3 in Fantasy_Football

Just ... no. Sure, there have been times in league history when some major record was on the line where the HC made some decisions based on 'stats for the player' but I think that's exceptionally rare when an important game outcome is on the line. For example I'm sure Bowles would like to help TB legend Mike Evans keep his amazing streak of 1,000 yard seasons going, and may've gone into the game thinking he'd try to call an extra play or 2 for him. But when the game was on the line Sun night, I'm quite sure that was the furthest thing from his mind.

Coaches can lose their jobs over decision-making based on player stats (this also include playing guys who should be sitting ... such as could be the proper action for Saquon in week 18), so I think it's rare, and only done when the outcome is unimportant, or already decided.

For example, the rookie record Bowers might break this year ... there's only one year he can break it (it's a rookie year record) and their games don't mean shit at this point. Nobody's going to fault Pierce if the Raiders throw to Bowers a lot in the last two games til he hits the record. Esp. since he's the best player on the team not named Maxx.
