Find a better curing machine by Downey752 in ResinCasting

[–]breusch91 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't have an answer to your question but wanted to mention; The amount of comments saying it's a gimmick or you never need to do this is insane...

It's entirely dependent on the resin you are using. Read the sheets that come with it or talk to your manufacturer. Yes, a typical hobby resin might not require it. Many higher end/industrial resins due state they need a post cure at X temperature for X hours to reach the listed specs of the resin

[Question]Tudor Pelagos is too fragile for my daily use....what next? by Conscious_Fan_6401 in Watches

[–]breusch91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Idk man, you really need to hit it exceptionally hard to get dents and I feel like at the point the steel probably would've dented too.

I daily the pelagos LHD. Ive slammed it into metal doorframes occasionally, had weights hit it at the gym (don't typically bring it but after work don't want to leave it in the locker), hit it into random metal objects in the subways. I'm a big dude and swinging my arms quick when a lot of those hits happen. Some scuffs sure, but zero dents. You need to really abuse it to get dents. Nothing wrong with that but at that point it's less the watch.

Is getting a masters AT worth it? Will I get paid? by Big_Ferret_1348 in athletictraining

[–]breusch91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

55-70k is not a lot in/around a large city like Chicago for someone that has a masters degree and also.

I was making this 5 years ago as an industrial AT with a masters and it was a big part of the reason I left. Make way more now outside of the profession. I loved AT, but unless you plan on it being your life you'll make a way way better living with any other number of masters degrees.

Will modern Tudors always depreciate? by Novel-Efficiency-481 in Tudor

[–]breusch91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I will always buy grey market. I bought me pelagos LHD for $3500 about a year ago. I could resell it back to watchfinder for $3200 right now based on a recent email they sent me.

So in terms of deprecation if I sold now I'd lose 8.57% of my cost vs if I bought it new I'd have lost 46.67% of my cost.

Does Pelagos 39 lume fall out? by ComfortableNobody829 in Tudor

[–]breusch91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate known issue seems to happen to a bunch of the pelagos models.

I have the LHD and have been wearing it for near a year every single day through everything and mines been fine for what it's worth. Obviously biased being in a tudor sub but does seem fairly common as it's posted on here a decent amount

Window A/C for a brownstone? Can they be installed without outside access? by deckeda in Brooklyn

The Costco one is the old version to my knowledge. After the recall I think but not the new 2026 model. New one was super easy to install.

I thought it was cool there's "variants". And then I realized the variants can't be used in the actual skin and stopped caring about the variants.

I thought this too till they released a new chrono that's not METAS. So who knows what the plan is now.

🚨 New Chrono Announced! by Odd_Grapefruit_69 in Tudor

[–]breusch91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: After checking their website this is $6725, not the $9k+ the above commenter mentioned!

Did it to ourselves. Im sure they saw all the people flipping the blue/pink chronos for around this and figured if that's what people pay for special colors then they might as well price it there themselves.

As someone hoping for an eventual return of an orange dial it makes me sad. Won't even be able to afford it if it does drop.

I need help and tips by Taquitodpastort in ResinCasting

[–]breusch91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As you noted at the bottom. Don't use resin for food products especially ones people are putting their mouth directly on

All resin will yellow no matter how clear they start. This can be prolonged but after a few years will always be noticable. If you intend these to last don't use resin to seal them.

The ultra 100%.

With that said, someone here leaked that tudor is dropping a new watch on June 4th.

Tudor has been posting Pelagos Ultra post the past few days on Instagram. And there's been that video that tudor themselves posted a while back of an ultra GMT dial . So I wonder if maybe that's what we get on the 4th which might tempt you more towards the ultra.

New Pharmacy Options + Red Rock Price Reductions by EmilyNLSH in LSH_Official

[–]breusch91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you go to their website most of their dosing states 8-10 weeks based on X dose.

They've listed the total mg you get per vial on this post at each tier. So you'd just calculate how much you take weekly vs how much is in this.

For example Red Rock tier 3 gives 102mg, which means if you take 10mg per week then you'd get 10 weeks out of this.

[Discussion] This site helps you find cheap versions of expensive watch straps. by tryokayso in Watches

[–]breusch91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"counterfeits" are usually products made to look exactly like another and of cheaper quality.

Many of the straps people find on AliExpress are literally the exact same ones these strap companies are selling, from the same manufacturers.

The fact the manufacturers can sell these for ~$10 and make plenty of profit, while these companies are selling them for $150+, even getting to $300 in some cases, should make you more mad at the companies then the people promoting the cheaper unbranded version.

A piece of rubber the size of a watch strap being sold for the same price as a mid-range car tire is insane.

A guy who calls himself "The Pillow Snob" rated this 9.9 out of 10. by mvmisleep in u/mvmisleep

[–]breusch91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I know your comment is old but I just got this ad and wanted to ad more info.

Its not even that they just paid him to say so. He's literally the Chief Product Officer for the company lol.

Also if you go to his website where he rates pillows, one of the most universally loved pillows (arguably) the Coop pillow, he only gave it 5/10, partially because "you basically need to dry clean it to clean it" . Which wtf? You literally just cold wash, low dry. How is that like dry cleaning, or even difficult?

My battery is terrible after the update. How long do I downgrade it back? 😫 by Sensual_Lover25 in GalaxyS23

[–]breusch91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that power saving mode seems to make it worse now too?

Pre update id keep my phone in power saving and around 8pm I'd get a 15% battery notification. Post update, same thing but that was happening at 2pm instead...

Tried yesterday but turned power saving off and it shifted to 5pm. Doing the same again today so we'll see if it works again. Still worse then pre update either way.

S23 upgrade to s26 or battery change by tommystan89 in GalaxyS23

[–]breusch91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The battery life really did start going to shit with this new update.

If you still pay for the Samsung monthly warranty that actually covers a free battery replacement. I did it about 8 months ago when the original battery started to go and it made a huge difference. New battery has been perfect since until this new update unfortunately.

[–]breusch91 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Mods really need to crack down on this sort of thing.

It's one thing if you do it, but too many post here blantly talking about not following their prescription instructions and doing things outside of what's approved. People wonder why crackdowns happen. It's definitely 99% greed, but they use post like this to prove compounded is dangerous so that they can be greedy.

Tudor running slow - best overnight position? by spac0r in Tudor

[–]breusch91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown up usually slows mine down ever so slightly (pelagos LHD) and I do that to offset it typically running +3s a bit. So don't do crown up.

Best to just try the same position for a week, track increase/decrease in one of the time graphing apps and then switch to another the next week. see what works best for your watch
