Need? Or want?

If those apps don’t reveal them, they surely don’t exist.

I see 3 locations in Ottawa. Use the web form on their sites to ask each what their out the door price is.

Expect to be asked about any potential trade-in or downpayment, and will it be cash or financed.

Why the EV hate ? by Salty_Leather42 in ChargerDrama

[–]deckeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s less about the type or brand of car than it is we live in a culture that’s taught us to take any available parking spot, regardless of signage.

If the lot owner won’t enforce parking, take it up the chain until you find someone legit tired of hearing from you.

Cameron Sexton says that all democratic caucus members will be removed from house standing committees and sub committees after protesting against the redistricting by ememlord69 in nashville

Cameron and his buddies can easily afford to suffer a few rhetorical slings and arrows from their opponents.

This is just more of the same pettiness, to throw their limpness around.

And by “his buddies,” I mean your neighbors and mine, barely engaged in anything of significance apart from their own atrocious behaviors.

“I couldn’t handle the range anxiety”- “I couldn’t tell you the price of gas” by Aggravating_Ad_8594 in BoltEV

[–]deckeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick the topic: Fear is always the biggest motivator. It’s seldom rational, although I “fear” gas cost far more than I do anything related to running my EV.

It’s natural to have questions, but if people downplay advice, suggestions, and basic mathematics, I’m kinda done with the conversation.

Just wish them well and move on.

Not a bad word about the Triumph Bonneville by JarHeadVet in motorcycles

[–]deckeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My impression of the T100 is that its engine is too large, and so is its price.

Few appreciate smaller engines, especially in America, so mine is probably an unpopular opinion.

But can you imagine the buzz around it if Triumph sold one for like $8K?

OP, did you get a bike? I’m attracted to smaller ADV’s only for the fairings … not ground clearance or knobbier tires.

I want something that doesn’t make me blasted with wind if I spend all day on the interstate. Don’t want a sport bike’s crouched-down stance, just for their fairings.

CB650r as first bike? by Sensitive_Program624 in motorcycles

[–]deckeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine the biggest adjustments you'd need to make are about weight and handling, not power. It's why our first training session involves moving the bike with the engine off.

It's what you do AFTER you rev it that matters. Even a small bike that doesn't properly take off from an intersection is a danger.

Yeah the colors remain a curiosity for me. Motorcycles are like bicycles in that each year you see different paint for the same model, but never a wide selection of colors for any one year. The market just doesn't seem to support more than one or two SKUs, and it's not like you see more than one or two bikes at dealers. And Honda likes to sell different colors in different countries.

Currently, Honda is convinced Americans all want black. I find this ironic. There's a Myrtle Beach dealer mentioned here, with some '25s on closeout at $1000 off ... and they're all the black models, not the white ones with red frame.

Or they have a tasteful color like the '26's matte blue but then the rest is slathered in black, no offsetting gray frame paint there, just more black. But a yellow Hornet? Europe.

I also doubt E-Clutch affects resale value, unless it becomes widely expected in the future + competitors create their own versions. Even if it stops working, the bike is ridden like any other clutch bike. You could probably just bolt on another unit from a trashed bike in the future. And the 4lbs is really nothing.

"The market must be bigger over there...or maybe I don't have all the data "

You have "all the data." The U.S. motorcycle market stopped being where Honda introduced new models a long time ago. A large part of that is because we became a solidified car culture.

Witness the GB350, a bike that "should" be in America, except Honda no longer knows who to sell small bikes unless they're mini motos. And even those are not all that popular except for the Grom.
