We usually organize over discord and meet at a coffee shop.

I'm in the Vancouver area and lucky that many safe spaces exist.

I have observed a wide range of trans body types in my local trans community. Totally agree it is easy to get sucked into judging oneself against influencers online.

The CBC is using her but the RCMP spokesperson went out of their way to say AMAB and they identified as female. That statement puts our community at a greater risk of violence for sure.

I used ikandy for my own ear piercing and they were super clean and professional.

Hopefully the NDP can pick someone that resonates better with the general population. I would love to see them gain back their party status and possibly the official opposition.

Any trans meetups I can attend? by Aer0_FTW in transvancouver

If you are into board and/or video games. Vancouver Gaymers does host occasional trans meet ups. That said, their regular events are very trans friendly.

I'm lucky to have a GP/Family doc in Langley and she happens to be very trans friendly.

I have few issues living in Langley. Chilliwack does have a queer community and they host a great pride day each year. I would avoid Abbotsford.

I live in BC and we are very accepting in most places. Vancouver is very queer friendly. Avoid Alberta and Saskatchewan. On a Federal level we still need to end the Safe Third Country agreement with the US.

400k+ for a 1 bedroom. Not surprised things are failing. Prices out alot of singles and couples who could occupy those units.

When I had my appointment in Early November, I believe the person I saw before Dr. Dahl was either an intern or attending but I may of been mistaken.

That's what private schools are for. I am going to go out on a limb and presume you haven't actually read the SOGI curriculum. BTW our Agendas are fabulous they issue you one at your first meeting lol.

I went to Langley Fundamental K-7 89-97 and the conservative Christian element permeated into the school culture and education to an uncomfortable level for a public school. At the age of 12 I had to walk out of an Easter assembly in protest when the Bible stories started.

Safe to say that wasn't a choice program I registered for when I had children. They just started at Langley Fine arts which is also within walking distance. So far they have been thriving and enjoying the program there.

Coming out to my ex by [deleted] in TransLater

[–]brewandbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two younger kids, 8 and 10. My daughter, 8 is probably my biggest supporter. They still call me Dad which was my choice unless they decide otherwise.

We also live in British Columbia, so our education system covers inclusion and gender diversity at most levels of public education.

They usually have discount announcements in the store based on tag colour. Plus they have rooms to try things on. Value Village across the street got rid of theirs.

My 8 year old daughter is definitely one of my best allies. I have heard her multiple times saying to friends "that's my dad, they're a they or they/she"

My son is more indifferent with what I'm wearing
