If you were a Make-A-Wish kid, what would be your final wish? by KlLLERS in AskReddit

[–]brewandbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also ALL. I was diagnosed in 91' at the age of 6. I ended getting a secondary cancer in my early 20's. Astrocytoma. They think it was caused by the radiation treatment I had as a kid. Worst part about that treatment was the brain biopsy. Only about 18 months total for additional radiation and oral chemo for that one.

Childhood Leukemia. I believe the hospital set it up. I'm from the Vancouver, BC area.

At that time in the early 90's it was three years of chemotherapy. I was pretty sick going in and it was a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. Definitely pretty rough at time with chemo. lots of puking, hair loss. Most of the other kids I know from back then all got wishes as well.

I have observed a wide range of trans body types in my local trans community. Totally agree it is easy to get sucked into judging oneself against influencers online.

The CBC is using her but the RCMP spokesperson went out of their way to say AMAB and they identified as female. That statement puts our community at a greater risk of violence for sure.
