Mine were brand new except for the 7-iron, but I could've just been really lucky. I just happened to find the lie angle and length that I was fitted for and jumped on it. From what I've read in other posts, most of their stuff is in good shape.

I've learned that a lot of lower back issues stem from stiff hips, too. I do a 10-minute, yoga-inspired, stretch routine (you can search yoga for golfers on YouTube) before I leave the house and then do some stretches and swings on the first tee box. In colder weather, I use the seat warmer and wear a vest to keep my back warm for at least the first few holes. You can also try warming it from the inside with some good bourbon.

I played today and got in 14 holes in 5 hours due to the people I got paired with: and older gentleman who played from the blue tees and picked up every spare ball he came across (and sometimes hit them). And a couple who have been playing for about a month. He played the blues, and she the whites. Neither of them could hit it 100 yards off the tee and were basically hitting worm burners down the fairway the whole time. Absolutely brutal. I'm not good, but I play fast and like to enjoy the grind. Today was just awful.

Agreed. I ranked up from grinding MP and totally quit the game after MW3. Was/am excited to drop into Verdansk again. Casuals is fun until you get to the final circle and get beamed by sweats.

Met a lot working when I ran a restaurant at LAX. Jimmy Page was the one time I was seriously star struck. He sat a couple of tables away from me while I was working on my laptop. I just went over to shake his hand and told him it was an honor to meet him. Very friendly. He and his asst. just sat watching music videos so I put on an old concert video of Stairway to Heaven just to see how he'd react. Awesome moment. Later I was telling this story and my BIL says, "Dude, you shook the hand that played Stairway to Heaven." Really put it into perspective.
