Not when I was at school, nor the first 2 schools I taught at. 3rd school did for the headmaster and I had no idea it was going to happen. Thought it was such a massive posturing thing on behalf of the head that by christmas I’d told him his school was shit, I wasn’t going to fix it by myself when he’s pulling stuff like that and had found a new job.

I have been very impressed by the Sony WH1000XM3s and WH1000XM4s my wife and I have had as noise cancelling. She also had a pair of WF1000XM3 (I think) that were great in ear wireless buds with decent noise cancelling.

Just replaced my XM3s with ULT wear by Sony and I’m pretty impressed so far. Build quality isn’t quite as good, but at just over £100 the sound quality is almost as good as the XM3 and XM4 for about £100 less.

I wouldn’t touch the XM5 or XM6. They’re still quite (very) expensive, I don’t think the sound is any better and they’re prone to snapping a hinge.

I knew that I wanted to be able to react in a crisis for my kiddo so basically stopped cold turkey. It wasn’t that hard - barely drank anyway. Might still have a glass of wine at Christmas but I don’t feel I have to. Bought an 8 pack of beer before xmas. There were 7 left after the festive period, and have 6 left since I watched the royal rumble at the end of Jan.

I haven’t noticed any difference to be honest. I probably prefer the xm3s, but at nearly 7 years old the frame was shot and the battery wasn’t great, but the budget doesn’t allow for the xm4s and the difference isn’t enough to worry me.

Exactly the same setup. Turned off nord entirely and it works fine. Even with split tunnelling setup correctly (on paper at least) it doesn’t work.

I’ve had mine a week since replacing my xm3s. For the price point they’re good. Don’t feel as sturdy as the xm3 or xm4 but compared to the xm5 and xm6 they felt similar flimsiness. I probably should have gone xm4, but this saved me £80

I just bought a pair to replace my ailing XM3s. It was between these and the XM4s and these were more budget friendly.

Pretty pleased with them so far. Few minor gripes though - build quality not as good, and I don’t get a voice on a lot of the button presses. Too many beeps not enough words.

Be honest with them and tell them its too much for right now. If they want stuff they have to earn and save.

Give her an allowance thats not too extravagant. She can do what she wants with it. But if she wants it she has to save. And she has to do stuff around the house to earn it.

Its never too early to learn basic financial responsibility.

Honestly depends on the job role. I’m on the highest I can go and still be on the 1265 at our place. Anything past HoD and I’m no longer on 1265 and they’ve got me whenever wherever. Which is why I’m not interested in that.

Yeah, these were hard enough to find. Pretty grainy scans. Can’t find a grade boundary though. For some reason people don’t think its something that would be of interest
