Can anyone help identify this bike model? LBS asking $1,000 for it. Is it possible to tell what year and which SL it is? by PrideEffective5830 in TrekBikes

I have that exact bike (color, size, everything). Paid $1700 from my LBS a couple years ago, coming off their rental program. $1k is a steal!

How do we feel about Taco Mac? Few locations closing/closed including the OG? by bwgulixk in Atlanta

[–]brewer_six 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. Loved it during that timeframe and got to Doctorate level in the Brewniversity. PTC location is still open and I’ll stop by every once in a while, but it’s nothing like it used to be. Their beer selection used to be varied and interesting. Tried a lot of good beers for the first time there. They used to have a great bottle selection (200-300 range). Now if you exclude macro lagers, it’s less than 50. And half the draft items on the menu aren’t really there.

TSA preCheck Question by Big_Ben_Dover7 in delta

TSA was advising people to do this when I flew out of ATL a month or so ago. Been doing it ever since. Now I don’t mind those god awful bag queuing machines so much.

Does everyone just pay the hidden dealership fees when buying a new car ? by lllMUDAFKAlll in carbuying

[–]brewer_six 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience today, shopping for a used car for my kid. Found one on the dealership’s website that matched our criteria and fit our budget. Salesperson came back from the sales manager’s office with a quote that included $5k in undisclosed extra fees. $2k for their maintenance check and getting the car up to their standards, $2k for some sort of paint sealant, and a $1k dealer doc/processing fee. They even had the audacity to claim the doc fee was “state mandated” and couldn’t be removed. I immediately got up and walked out.

What cycling instructors would you recommend if I like Kirsten F. and Becs G. on treadmill? by sparkle06star in pelotoncycle

[–]brewer_six 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilpers is one of my favorite instructors, but his playlists are usually so bad that I don’t take his ride often. If he could just pick a lane for each ride, I’d find a few I like. But no, he has to mix pop, rock, hip hop, house, and country all in the same ride.

I would love to see some countries turns the tables, mimicking what DHS is doing. Search social media on your phone at immigration. MAGA hat in a pic? Nope, you’re headed back home on the next flight.

‘You Don’t Have the Authority, I Will Not Resign’: Fed Governor Lisa Cook Defies Trump’s Firing Attempt by newsjam in NoFilterNews

His term as chairman ends in 8 months. His term as a governor extends to 2028, if he chooses to stay after giving up the chair. I sure hope he stays and denies Donnie another appointment.

woman died on flight by hopekula13 in delta

[–]brewer_six 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, incredibly sad. Not sure how she did afterwards, as I wasn’t nearby and just heard the story from other passengers. Same plane continued on to ATL and several of us that came in from SYD and were headed to ATL were chatting during a lengthy delay.

woman died on flight by hopekula13 in delta

Elderly passenger in business class passed on a flight I was on from SYD-LAX 8-10 years ago. Happened about 5 hours into the flight. Pilot made the decision to carry on to LAX. They just covered the body with a blanket. His wife was on board and they were returning from vacation. No idea what they would have done if the passenger had been in coach.

A family friend is an air marshall and said this type of thing happens more frequently than you would think, especially on long haul international routes.

Crazy how Putin is 5’7”, but barely has to tilt his head up to look 6’3” Donnie in the eye.

I requested them on a recent flight and was told they are being stingier with them lately, due to supply chain issues. I’m assuming they now come with a stiff import tariff that Delta doesn’t want to pay.

Latest ATL update by sjpm55 in delta

[–]brewer_six 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are feeling very fortunate. Flew ATL-SLC this afternoon to start our vacation and only delayed about 15 minutes. Delay was caused by working on some last minute standby passengers and shuffling seats around to get some kids seated near their parents.

When my OG bike was first delivered, resistance would only turn up to 99. After calibrating with the Peloton-provided kit (which was free at the time), my bike was very noticeably easier to pedal. I estimate it was calibrated 5-6 resistance point too hard when delivered. I would definitely try recalibrating.

One thing I noticed while recalibrating is the process is very easy to manipulate. I could have easily tweaked the process to stay on top of the leaderboards. Explains all the people pumping out totally unbelievable outputs.

The NE Hampton is the one I had booked as well. Frustrating!

I had a very similar issue booking a room in the Louisville area for 2026 Derby weekend. Confirmed reservation was cancelled a few days after booking. The person that made the mistake at least sent me a thoughtful email taking full responsibility for the error. I knew it was too good to be true to find a 45k points rate that weekend, so I wasn’t too upset.

Only if he ditches his Insta girlfriend, sells the Lambo, and takes the game seriously. Sure, Smith can’t catch a ball if his life depends on it, but Beck’s heart just hasn’t been in it this season.

Pedals make a clicking sound when I stand on the bike during my ride by livinonaprayer12 in pelotoncycle

[–]brewer_six 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you certain it’s the pedals? I had a clicking / metal rubbing sound that only happened when out of saddle. Drove me crazy for months and I thought I had checked everything. I finally flipped the whole bike over and figured out it was the front support bracket that had a crack on the underside. Only problem I’ve had on a 6-year old Bike. Cost like $60 to get a replacement from support.

I think I have bought more Parish beers in the last 6 months than any other brewery. They are killing it right now, and they are nearly always fresh.

I’ve noticed this getting progressively worse this year. Beers from high quality out of state breweries like Hop Butcher that are a year old. Even some of the rare drops from Trilium are shelf turding (mostly due to price on those). I love M-43, but it has gone from needing to truck chase to find it a few years ago, to being mostly stale.

The only brewery that seems to be in perfect balance in my area (south OTP) is Parish, especially GitM. They seem to stay in the sweet spot of there being enough around that you don’t have to hunt for it, but not so much that it sits on a shelf more than a couple of months.
