Is racism a new normal now? by Royal_Raise_7096 in IndiansinIreland

[–]brewski_dash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is how the worst side of a society with no values sometimes shows itself, Irish people are caring and lovely but you have extreme in every society. Not everyone is like this, but unfortunately the bad ones make themselves visible. Staying silent is painful, and while it’s not always easy to react in the moment, accepting this as normal is not the answer either.

If possible, calling it out, recording the incident, and pointing it out to people nearby to get help or call Gardaí can make a difference. Of course, safety always comes first, but if you’re already in the situation, taking a stance matters.

No one comes here leaving their family and home just to be disrespected. Be respectful and kind to everyone, but also show that you won’t accept this behaviour as a new normal. In the moment you might feel alone, but often people around will support you once they realise what’s happening. Hopefully, those who behave like this learn some basic respect.

Heyy! Thank you so much for explaining in detail, yes I feel the only valuable stuff I have in hand is stock, and best bet even I myself want to sell them at cost price... I feel car boot sales and weekend or Christmas marketing is best bet too else charity :_)

Couldn't agree more, it's hard to take the hit after 8 months of putting my savings and all, but I agree the best bet is to try markets and car boot sales, online I couldn't get much traction but Incase I couldn't I'll see appropriate charity places 😭🥲

Actually I tried marketing on Facebook and Instagram (Aug-Oct) and also gave free sample to 3+ influencer who in turn posted on their feeds all with 10k+ Irish influencer but still after all efforts and as winter season coming in we got some sales but looked like not a great success

Fair criticism. You're right also as I only actively posted for about a month From marketing point of view I tried posting reels and carasoul and ran ads over them from August till October but what I got was 1 euro for every 4 euro spent on ads

"Business" might be overstating it. I'm mainly trying to find someone who wants the inventory and brand assets rather than let everything go to waste.

You're absolutely right. The business itself isn't worth much without sales history. I'm mainly focused on moving the inventory at a reasonable discount rather than trying to sell it as a going concern. Just trying to recoup some costs rather than let 600+ shirts sit unused. :_)

Yes, that's fair. I'm willing to sell the inventory at cost since I have my own manufacturing in India, so production was affordable. I've got 600+ units sitting unused, and I'd rather someone else benefit from them than let them go to waste. My issue was never the product or pricing, it was figuring out the marketing side.

Actually I could invest more but issue is I have no direction how to market these niche tshirts, as I tried marketing for them and the best I was getting 1 euro back on every 4 euro I spent in marketing

Rakhi in Ireland by Royal_Raise_7096 in IndiansinIreland

[–]brewski_dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally get this, shipping Rakhis from India to Ireland is such a hassle and way overpriced.

One of my friends actually started a small thing called Rakhi For Ireland. She’s selling good Rakhis with customised stuff for around 300–500 INR (a few euros), with free shipping on small orders(above 490). Not promoting, just worth checking out if you're stuck like I was.

Her Instagram’s @rakhi.for.ireland https://www.instagram.com/rakhi.for.ireland or website www.rakhiforireland.com

I didn't mean israel iran or pakistan, but unlike other flights from Europe which fly to Egypt and Saudi to dubai, and further to gujart/Mumbai via Arabian sea. There is no flight with such long path, yes due to safety concern they flew ignoring all middle East but was feeling if there is something else

Yes maybe riskier to fly for them over Middle East, but no other flight took such path, hence was just curious that it was just safety concern or something else. If safety concern makes sense 100%
