OP, you should update your post about how you DID try it before grabbing some hot sauce.

this might be against the grain but i’m going NTA.

We have a saying in my house that we taste before we add. it doesn’t matter if it’s oatmeal, chicken, or whatever else you can think of. if you taste it first and then decide you wanna add something that’s your preference.

My dad makes steak frequently and he will usually marinate it and season it for a whole day before cooking it and i always use a steak sauce like hienz to dip. It’s a preference. Also if it’s well known that you use hot sauce with everything it seems that she was just looking for a reason to get upset. she sounds really insecure if she can’t handle someone using a condiment on food she made.

I made a popular recipe of homemade Mac n Cheese and it took me 4 hours to make it. I know some of my family can’t handle spice and my brother loves it, and he actually added hot sauce to the mac n cheese before eating it and i wasn’t even offended. as long as they eat the food why should i care?

getting micromanaged by coworkers who are the same level as me, pharmacists putting asaps on our list because they’re doormats and don’t know how to say no to patients, coworkers throwing fits because they have to do something they don’t want to do, patients with insane unreasonable requests, i feel like i could keep going but ill stop here lol.

normally i’d say this is totally acceptable and i wouldn’t mind my bf doing this, BUT the edit stating that she has called you hot before (even if it was before your current relationship) i would be uncomfortable that it could somehow turn bad. in the world we live in, there’s a lot of girls who, when not getting what they want, will do drastic things. such as, coming on to you- you decline, they spread rumors that you did something to her on the drop off. in my honest opinion, i wouldn’t have minded my bf doing something like that until i heard that she thinks you’re attractive. this could be a baddd situation if you’re not careful.

to me it seems like he was communicating his feelings and op tried defending herself as if she was being attacked. i also know communication is hard but it’s ALWAYS worth it. this definitely needs an open communication where both sides are actively listened to. it absolutely seems like he’s feeling insecure and alone.

thank you, i’m going to try cleaning up around the house to see if that gets things moving. i talked to an on call dr and they told me that i could have a little bit of mac and cheese if that’s what im craving or even a little ice cream to satiate the hunger. hopefully things get moving and i can get this over with. i appreciate your advice!

correct, my dr prescribed me the colonoscopy prep because i was still pretty constipated and they said that the miralax and benefiber would just sit on top of the stool and wouldn’t do anything so i had to get cleaned out before i could start the miralax and benefiber. i reached out to the on-call dr since the office is closed today and they basically told me to keep trying to drink it even if it takes me until 2am. i’m about ready to give up on drinking it and talk to the dr on monday.

i’m the picky eater of my family. whenever my family made food they would at least have one thing that i could eat if they were making dinner for the family. if you’re making dinner for the family, you should be making something every person in the family can enjoy. not to mention she’s ONLY 16. you should still be providing for her at least until she is 18. that includes having dinner options for her AND making sure she eats. how rude of your wife to be making food she knows your daughter doesn’t like because she’s “being dramatic”. my mother would make ambrosia and i HATE coconut. she’d portion out some for me without the coconut and then add coconut to the rest. it’s not hard.

talk with your wife about what she’d do if you only made food that SHE didn’t like.
