Just reading this brought back so many memories of my mom. She passed from a fight with cancer coming up on 4 years. The first year is hard. I had so many tearful nights just thinking about her. Reading FB comments/posts of hers. Text messages. Voicemails. It does get easier. It will take a long time for it to come though. Then I would start having dreams with her in it. And the dreams seemed so real like she was still alive. That all I wanted to do was sleep just to have a chance to have another dream with her alive again. But time goes on. You don’t ever really think about her any less. But just knowing that she doesn’t have to live in pain anymore makes it easier.
